J’Ron Erby (Ygnacio Valley) is rostered at Wayne State as a DB, will likely see time as a true freshman.

Grant Jones (Ygnacio Valley) is rostered at BYU as a TE/WR, will redshirt his freshman year.

Patrone Wood (Ygnacio Valley) enters his sophomore season at Seton Hill U. and is rostered as a DL.

jimmy for real dead i think not, its like every few years they recruit a few local kids, now i do however understand that some local kids cant get n due to grades and test scores. it is cal berkeley, a very good academic school. but they have let some many kids go elsewhere, now of course some kids want to get away from the bay but not all. i was told by mo jones-drew himself some years ago that if cal wouldve recruited him earlier he wouldve stayed home. and they have been having qb problems since aaron rodgers left, now jimmy how many really good qb’s have we had n the eastbay alon since then 1 year is just 1 year they have 4 players lets see if they keep that trend up n the future.

The argument about Cal is kind of dead now. Four of the top players from the East Bay this year have orally committed to Cal (Kline, Barton, Nickerson Jr. and Walker).

Thanks for the info on Mario Brown at EWU. I watched him practice and play often when he was at BOD; exciting player to see in action. Glad to hear that he is succeeding in college. Credit goes to former BOD coach Paul Perenon for pushing Mario to develop habits and expectations so that Mario would be able to handle the challenges of playing college football and being a student. I know that Perenon went well beyond what most coaches would do to help Mario make progress and be in a position to accept a football scholarship. Hopefully, Mario remembers all of the time and effort his coach invested in him to get his scholarship. Great job, Mario for your early college accomplishments! And I know Perenon is very proud of how Mario has progressed and grown up!
