High School Heisman accepting applicants

Wanted to pass along some info on the Wendy’s High School Heisman award that I got today. This is a really cool national award that goes to a high school athlete who “demonstrated a commitment to academic achievement, community service involvement, leadership and accomplishments in the athletic arena.”

The award is open to high school seniors scheduled to graduate in 2012. They ultimately pick one male and one female.

30Q-2-KICKOFF (No. 4): Who will win it all — in D-2?

What a year it was last season in Division II. Concord’s 40-37 thriller over Rancho Cotate in the championship game at the Coliseum was a¬†classic. Ricky Lloyd was a star not only in the history books, but also on the Internet. (see here AND here). So, what should we expect out of this year’s Div. II field as we continue our journey of predicting NCS champions?
