St. Elizabeth is forfeiting its varsity game Saturday against Salesian, Mustangs coach Greg Morris confirmed to me a few minutes ago.
He said the Mustangs do not have enough healthy players. They have 10 players right now, down from the 16 on their roster to start the year, he said.
“The junior varsity will proceed. We don’t have enough varsity-caliber players. I’m not bringing up freshmen,” Morris said.
Morris said that the status of the Mustangs’ scheduled game against Emery on Oct 29 is still up in the air. St. Elizabeth currently has four varsity players injured.
