Sounds like Head Coach… Bergman?? DISASTER… Loss for East Bay worst coach ever!

Out of all the EBAL head coaches, if I can’t have Lad I want Sweeney. No one gets more from less than Sweeney.

Suffice it to say that Bergman probably won’t be heading up the defense, but I’m sure he can contribute on some offensive schemes. Maybe Sweeney will be in charge of the defense? I like the idea of having tri-coaches.

I don’t thnk Marshall qualifies, as he is not an East Bay player. The game is pitting East Bay stars vs. Sacramento area stars. It would not be fair to include the South Bay or entire Bay Area, as we would demolish them.

I’m glad you mentiond FB/LB Krause from Cal, as he has been an unsung hero on this year’s team with Wahington & Dunn getting much of the attention as ball carriers. He was out of action against Livermore on Friday and we really missed him at LB. He is probably the hardest hitter on the Grizzly squad and does a great job at FB. He should be back in the lineup for the Granada game next week.

kravitz bergman and sweeney are ebal legends. especially sweeney. those guys all know how to coach. This game should be very exciting. I expect to see guys like cal’s armani washington and brian krause. livermores RB Drew, and maybe byron marshall from valley christian?

My guess is that Bergman, Kravitz and Sweeney have coached against each other for so many years that they would relish a chance to coach a team together. Great idea. Short of having Lad himself at the helm, it would be tough to beat the experience of that staff.

MV’s visitor’s section is not large enough for such an event. DVC or Tak are plenty large enough and I agree would be great venues.

This is indeed great news about the Holiday Classic coming to the East Bay. The ‘Paydirt’ crowd will be in the house on the 23rd. I hope they select a good venue: DVC, MV or The Tak are a few of my favorites.
