This news is a few days old, but I finally got a chance to catch up with Bishop O’Dowd boys basketball star Richard Longrus, who committed to Washington State last Tuesday.
Longrus, a 6-foot-7 senior forward, chose Washington State over the likes of Stanford, St. Mary’s and UC Santa Barbara.
“I liked the visit a lot,” said Longrus, who took a trip to the Pullman, Wash., campus the weekend of Oct. 15-16. “I like it a lot more than I though I would coming in.”
He credited his commitment to “the comfortability that I had with the players and all the guys up there. There were a lot of things I liked prior to the visit, and that just put it over the edge.”
Longrus said Washington State plans to use him at the three position in their four-out, one-in offense.
