NCS Division III bracket

Apparently Sonoma Valley was eligible, even with its loss to Analy. I’m guessing their win over American Canyon (whose enrollment isn’t listed on Calpreps) counts as a Div. III win. But now I just looked up American Canyon and the SJS web site lists their enrollment as 680, so that doesn’t make sense. Sir Francis Drake gets squeezed out with Sonoma making it.

No. 16 Sonoma Valley (4-6) at No. 1 Marin Catholic (10-0), Saturday, 1 p.m.

No. 9 Eureka (7-3) at No. 8 El Cerrito (7-2-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

No. 13 Tamalpais (7-3) at No. 4 Encinal (9-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

No. 12 Tennyson (8-2) at No. 5 Miramonte (9-1), Saturday, 7 p.m.

No. 15 San Marin (6-4) at No. 2 Cardinal Newman (9-0-1), Friday, 7 p.m.

No. 10 Analy (6-4) at No. 7 Novato (8-2), Saturday, 1 p.m.

No. 14 Hercules (7-3) at No. 3 Campolindo (10-0), Saturday, 7 p.m.

No. 11 Del Norte (7-3) at No. 6 Bishop O’Dowd (8-2), Friday, 7 p.m.

@DRob,I believe we’ll be ok. Our QB went down but walked off under his own power. We got only 1 guy out for sure and he might be back. The student has suppased the master. We will get The Win! Jet Pride!

Ve’e shredded the Loggers last year, so if Goff is all you think he is, I’m sure he will kill Eureka.

  • DRob16

It was kinda a joke. The part about disrespectful, at least. Of course, you’re right about opinions, but I can’t see a 14 pt win either way? Obviously I hope its a Jet blowout though!

If Encinal follows Campolindo’s blueprint, especially with Encinals’s speed, they can neutralize Anderson’s running and force him to pass where he has shown to be an ordinary passer. Still not quite sure if Miramonte just had a bad game against Campo or if Campo exposed Anderson’s weaknesses, perhaps a combination of both.

We’ll see if Campo and their nothing special Offensive & Dedensive Lines can deal with O’Dowd’s size and speed. Both offenses have been turning in spectaclar games of late so the difference will likely come down to which defense can stop the other team the most. Coach Macy likely has a coaching and scheming advantage over Nickerson, but will it be enough.

i dont think MC crushes Eureka so easily, MC is vulnerable against the run and Eureka does that well, plus likely be some cruddy weather…….33-20 MC is prediction and Goff throws 3 Td’s and Akili Terry goes for another 100+ and a score

Everybody was talking as if Encinal was the team to beat. I think Tam showed that if you can be more physical up front against the Jets, you can score points. Miramonte, a team that I believe passes the ball a lot, needs to make sure to control the LOS. My prediction: Miramonte: 35 Encinal: 38

  • THighHawks

    correction… Miramonte: 38 Encinal: 35

  • brandonbeard

No way Miramonte beats Encinal! The Mats arent that good in my opinion. The Jets speed is going to be too much for them. I say the game isnt as close as u may think or predict. I see Encinal running away with this in the second half.

  • DRob16

What’s wrong with a 19 point win? Mt Tam played well and they still lost by 3TD’s. “Control the LOS”??? When the game got close, the Jets just went to pounding the ball, resulting in 2 Trodder TD runs. How is that controlling the line of scrimmage?

  • Paydirt

From what I read the J-E-T-S fans are saying that a win against MIRA is a lock. Bragging rights on the line, let the players do the talking. This is also the case with SRV @ LOGAN. Two great match-ups, may the best team win. The rest is just blah, blah, blah jabbering from wannabe pie-holes! TRUE THAT!!!

See you in the peanut gallery…

THighHawks, Wow, You are a funny guy. Yes The Red Tail hawks made a nice showing but U never had control of the LOS. If they did they would’ve won. Sounds like your just a wee bit bitter. And as you guys found out we can play shut down defense. The guys went flat and that was all that happend. Check the score again and just look forward to next year. Or i guess u r a Miramonte fan now? Jet Pride!

i think people are wondering how Tam put up 21 on Encinal in the first place?

  • Old Former Meddling Coach

@Suckafree415, I’ll say this but i know some will think i’m full of it but the kids came out 2nd half flat. Not to say Tam didn’t go hard because they did but when the kids came out almost all of them looked like they were half sleep. Took Tam scoring on them to wake them up. Real talk. But it was just the jolt they needed. Sometimes too much success makes ya lax. Jet Pride!

I agree with your premise, Old Former Meddling Coach. I watched the MNF game last night, with New England and Kansas City- the Chiefs were just down 10-3 at the break, then Brady and friends really took it to them in the second half 34-3..

  • THighHawks

I’m not a Miramonte fan by any means. A reporter who watched every Encinal game this year said that Tam was more physical then any other team who played Encinal. Also, Encinal is not a better team this year then Marin Catholic. If Encinal can get by Miramonte, they will be in a very tough match against Marin Catholic. Look for the Miramonte passing game to be the key against the Encinal defense.
