Wow! just heard about the keeper from Deer Valley. Horrible concussion! I have noticed many women’s soccer athletes getting injured this season. Knee’s injuries, concussions, etc….What is it? Turf? I am curious if anyone out there has information to share.
Lastly, please pray that DV player Kara Leffle has a positive recovery from her concussion. What a keeper!

College Park is on my radar. They seem to be gathering steam after some tough nonleague losses to Berkeley, Liberty and Granada in December. I’m seeing nice wins over Clayton Valley and much-improved Ygnacio Valley.

Just got off the phone with American coach Jerry Losson, one of the better guys I’ve met in high school sports. He really likes his bunch this year, saying the girls play hard for each other and have bought in to his ping-it-around style and emphasis on team defense, rather than focusing on marking out one star. If the Eagles and Logan can avoid tripping up in their next matches, the stage will be set for a championship showdown between the two.

Hey guys, any thoughts or predictions on how the HAAL and MVAL will play out? I am from the Fremont area, so I’ve been to some games involving teams in these two leagues. I have to admit that I was impressed with a lot of teams I’ve seen.

Thank you for the update on women’s soccer. The rankings must be a challenge! One of the lesser know teams that is having a breakout season is the College Park Lady Falcons. With a perfect 7-0 record in the DVAL this season.
I know you appreciate getting updated season information. If you can forward to me your email I’ll send you a summary of the DVAL league stats.
Keep up the work with women’s soccer in Bay area. It’s appreciated:)

Don’t count Deer Valley out. There is alot of talent on that team that is coming out now. Our keeper was seriously injured in our last game threw our momentum off and caused a league loss, but that won’t stop us in the future!

Sweeper/Paydirt: SRV last won the girls EBAL title in 2004, although they somehow were able to win NCS 4 years in a row between 2006-2009 without being league champs. Don’t know how you can think the NCS seeding committee is capable of getting things wrong .

Hey Matt Schwab (and not Matt Smith this time),

I like your thinking on the girls soccer rankings.

I also appreciate your quandry with the rankings. But rest assured, the NCS seeding committee will not fret or give it much thought, and and they will get it wrong, yet again.

I’ve got a fiver that says EBAL will not get the #1-#4 seeds. So save the hand wringing.

Just curious, when was the last time SRV took the girls EBAL title?
