Deer Valley goalkeeper suffers concussion

Deer Valley senior goalkeeper Kara Leffle, who was hit in the head during Thursday’s game at Freedom, was diagnosed with a severe concussion and released from a local hospital Friday, according to her father, Ken Leffle.
After she was hit, Kara Leffle had no feeling in her arms and legs. She regained feeling in her arms and legs as she was airlifted to the hospital.

All the best for a speedy recover. I must admit that this is one of my hot buttons regarding officials allowing aggressive play against keepers. Whether that was the case or not, officials should always err toward protecting keepers that play fair and clean.
