Hey everyone. Looks like the NCS nailed it with the seedings, 1-2-3-4 alive and kicking in Division I and II. I’ve seen five goals in the two games I’ve covered, and they’ve all been brilliant finishes. The level of finishing in girls soccer across the board is the best I’ve seen. Injuries compiling: SRV’s UNC-bound Reilly Parker is reportedly lost to a foot injury, and California standout playmaker Rachel Feldman is playing with a sore knee and a sleeve on her leg. Who’s your NCS MVP heading into the semifinals? I obviously haven’t seen SRV, Carondelet in NCS or any Div. II action. Can’t wait for the semis. Great matchups, all four.

Albany is the real deal. Two central midfielders are very good. They were extremely impressive in their (only) loss to MVHS. Good all round squad..

Campo girls a completely different team today holding LL to 3 shots on goal from distance and scoring 2 in second half on great assists to advance. Campo at BOD in a rematch of a december game (1-0 BOD) and a 2009 NCS playoff 0-0 (BOD on PKs). Albany may be the real deal too.

Spectacular second game of double header as Campo boys took a 2-1 lead but were tied up a a sweet free kick into the upper left from 25yds. Two OTs with Concord goalie making 3 game saving diving stops and Concord winning it in PKs after 6 rounds and 3 saves each for the goalies.

DII Predictions

ODowd- Only 2 NCS crowns last 11 years though perennial #1 or #2 seed.
St Mary’s- Can they shock the world like the boys?

Las Lomas- Last time reached semis in 2006. Beat Campo 3-0 two wks ago.
Campo- Faded in DFAL down the stretch.

Dublin-Took DFAL has good draw to finals.
Northgate-Played everyone only DII loss to O’Dowd

Albany- Only 5 losses in last 3 years but underachieves in NCS
Alhambra-Knocked Albany out last 2 years always dangerous in NCS

Possible upset Northgate over Dublin in penalties. Alhambra over Albany ( banged up). Las Lomas Campo pick-em. St Mary’s say your prayers.

Most likely final Dublin vs O’Dowd with O’Dowd winning and Walker the difference.
