St. Mary’s High junior Devin Mahoney achieved a perfect game Monday in a nonleague baseball game against Skyline. The 6-foot-3 left-hander struck out 11 batters in his 7-inning masterpiece, as the Panthers defeated Skyline 9-0.

wow! Sounds like a flamethrower! Not many kids pitching 7 innings anymore. With that kind of endurance early in the season, he’ll be a game changer.
That’s college material- tall and left handed, any scouts at the game?

Great job Devin! When you only face 21 batters total, endurance isn’t really an issue. Some pitchers face 21 batters in 3 innings. It’ll be interesting following him this year to see what else he is capable of.

It will be interesting watching the team this year and next. Besides Devin, they have Kevin Flemer, both juniors, giving St. Mary’s 2 of the best pitchers in Division IV.
