Not surprised by the interview, same thing happened post game at oCo when asked about sniders performance,. Everyone in the DFAL knows this is standard practice for Campos arrogant coaching staff

Wow, that interview on baypreps was unbelievable. Why agree for an interview if you are going to insult the guy over and over again for asking basic questions about a game? .

Campo achieved the threepeat tonight, defeating a very worthy opponent in Dougherty Valley, 6-3. In the end Campo benefited from seeing Snider a third time this season as they put together one good at-bat after another.

It was a day for the sophomores for the Cougars as Ladrech ran his record to 8-0 in besting the Wildcats. Soph Karas provided the biggest blow with a bases clearing double to make the score 5-1.

With the victory the Cougars set a school record with 23 victories and a top 3 ranking in the state and likely a top 10 national ranking.

Yeah, that interview by Luckhurst did not paint him in a very good light. The frosh pitcher for CP was 9-1 coming into the game. I don’t think the reporter was out of line at all for calling him an outstanding pitcher. If anything, that should have been an opportunity for Luckhurst to say that DeMers had a nice season and how proud he is of his kids for breaking through against him, and now they need to focus on the next team. Instead he tears down the kid as well as the teams he has played against. I’ve heard some negative rumblings about Luckhurst from people familiar with him, but this is my first time hearing the guy talk. Wow is right.

@42. That is definetely a wow interview. Not sure why a high school coach would take an obviously adversarial approach to a reporter whom he knows will publish it. The questions were pretty much softball for the 5:00. Certainly not an enduring way to earn respect for your program on the eve of a possible awesome achievement.

Did you guys hear the Campolindo Coach’s interview on Baypreps.com??? Go to Baypreps.com and there’s a pre-game interview for the Dougherty Valley vs Campolindo game and the Campo coach sounds like the biggest jerk ever. Throwing College Park’s 15 year old Freshman pitcher under the bus as well as Northgates whole team and Clayton Valley’s whole team.

Another irony is that one of MVs AD/HC Bergman’s choices for QB in the Holiday Classic East Bay vs Sac was none other than Farley. Apparently there were 60 plays in the playbook for that game- needed get-up-to-speed signal callers- but the Mack QB went down in Q2. The Cal-MV quartet (MV’s AC was alongside with Cal AD Kravitz) had to work through many of them, and Jimmy knows how cold it was, to beat the state all-time passing leader. Respected foes know how to work with each other for the greater good.
