Oderah Chidom makes USA Under-17 squad

Oderah Chidom of Bishop O’Dowd High was selected to the USA Under-17 women’s basketball team.
Chidom, a 6-foot-4 forward, is part of a 12-player squad that will compete at the FIBA U17 World Championships in August.
A junior, Chidom helped Bishop O’Dowd win the Division III state championship this past season.

Way to go Chidom! I know everyone is proud of you. Take advantage of the coaching with that group. They’ll have you prepared to dominate the very aggressive schedule that I know you’ll have. You guys should come out ranked in the top 3 nationally and you got to stay there to become number one :+)

Saw Chidom play against Brazil. She is representing well. She is getting plenty of playing time and looks to be the second best big man on the court. Very, very impressive.
