A great year for softball in the East Bay ends with James Logan and Amador Valley both ranked in the top five of the ESPN Powerade Fab 50 poll. Logan is ranked No. 4 nationally, just ahead of No. 5 Amador Valley. Logan beat Amador Valley 1-0 on June 1 for the North Coast Section Division I championship.

The Colts and Dons were also highly ranked in the final Cal-Hi Sports state rankings, coming in at No. 2 and 3 respectively.

Cal High and Concord cracked the final state rankings, as well. Cal is No. 27 after making the NCS Division I semifinals while NCS Division II champion Concord finished at No. 28.
