BVAL – Deer Valley, I have a good feeling about Deer Valley this season. I know they went 4-6 last season but they beat Pitt. They return a bunch of key players as well as the QB. It will be interesting to see how Pitt and DV battle it out.

DFAL – Las Lomas, They were young last year and with that big QB they have I expect them to do some things. Campo, Dublin, Miramonte have lost a bunch.

DVAL – Concord, The states rushing leader in the backfield is going to lead them all year. Always tough to beat with the passing attack they bring each game but I like there defense. Hamilton reminds me of Mike Martz and i like his style.

EBAL – DLS, New QB but big in the trenches. Don’t hurt to have Bay Areas best “football player” in Hutchings.

MVAL – Moreau Catholic, They have come a long way and I think this is the year they can do something. Strong run game and solid program coach Cotter has been putting together over the past few years.

TRI – EC, Athletes everywhere and I think this is the year they will make some noise in Div.III. Led by Pippens and Harvey they will be tough for any team to handle.

WAC – BOD, I like the dragons this season. Returning QB and a huge OL in front of him. We all know ODowd doesn’t lack talent in the back field or out wide.

Maybe Nightngale isnt sure what he has along the trenches with the loss of Tagaloa and wants to use non league as extra practice. Probably wants to try to build up a good record for a chance to play in the NorCal championship. They havent been voted into the state the last 2yrs.

Didn’t know PV and EC in Salesian’s league. Wow- DEanza, JFK and Richmond??? Night could have 3 forfeits there. Might be better in the old BFL.
I thought for sure coming off last season there would be some strong comp scheduled. It should really be no surprize though. Salesian doing that for years, even Shag. They got dropped in the day, last real team in early ’70′s with Shag and Stan Brown in ’67.
Here’s the funny part, present day Salesian can beat other quality teams, rather stack the deck and run up scores. They were much better in the old CAL.

nightngale really stepped it up de anza,richmond,jfk rich way 2 go coach. pinole & ec dont count there n his league he didnt schedule them. how bout salesian vs. o’dowd or st.i or even d4 marin catholic who plays up? if they can get past pinole n ec i’ll b surprised. valley christian will b tough but after that not much 2 worry bout.
