Chabot, DVC ranked in state football

The Chabot College football team is ranked 12th and Diablo Valley College 16th in the preseason California Community College Football Coaches Association State Poll.
Chabot is ranked sixth in Northern California, DVC ninth and Contra Costa 18th. Laney, coming off a 2-8 season, is listed in Others Included.
In 2011, Chabot, guided by coach Danny Calcagno, lost to unbeaten American River 41-18 in the Capital City Bowl. The Gladiators won the Golden Gate Conference championship with wins over Diablo Valley, Merced, Los Medanos, West Hills, and DeAnza.

48-41in overtime . City having the championship blues hangover. DVC showed up when no one thought they had a chance. City college San Francisco ranked #1 in the nation not the jus the State.
