I just talked with El Cerrito High football star Marcellus Pippins, and he said he has made an oral commitment to the University of Utah.
“I talked about it with my mom and dad last night and decided to make a decision,” Pippins said.
Pippins took an official visit to Utah last week.
“I loved it. I loved everybody around the town and the school,” Pippins said. “The fans were electric. Everything was fun.”
The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Pippins said that Utah is looking at him as a cornerback, kick returner and punt returner. Pippins took the opening kickoff 88 yards for a touchdown in the Gauchos’ 59-6 victory over Berean Christian on Oct. 5.
Pippins said that he is unsure if he will take official visits to Washington State and UCLA.
