Cant see DLS playing Gorman anytime soon. Sanchez burned most of that bridge.

  • Stewie

Sparty should try Good Counsel or Archbishop Moeller.

I am awed by the way DLS has embarrassed teams with a lot more physical talent…..mostly so cal teams.Things change for them when they play out of state teams that have more physical size/talent and also put the same amount of time as them. They do not outcoach those teams and that is why they have lost.Simple as that.I would imagine the teams in Texas take their football even more serious,a lot more serious.
DLS is so dominant in this area because they are very well coached and they demand and get a 100 pct commitment and total unquestioned dedication to that particular sport from their players in both basketball and football.Do you think Alloco says its ok if you miss this summer league game because you want to play American Legion baseball. You are at every practice, open gym, illegal open gym, meeting or weight room or you are history.I doubt the kids at El Cerrito or Logan go to that extreme.I am not a hater but a realist.I can only imagine what it must be like in Texas.

    BigDog:
    Sanchez…
    1. Lied. DLS and BG never had an agreement for a home and away deal. It was a one game deal as is usually the case with DLS and OOS opponents. Sanchez went to the media and pretty much called DLS liars and going back on a two year deal.
2.Sanchez acted with low class. His sideline antics were poor at best.
    3. Sanchez let his players act with no class.

Sanchez forgot that DLS is clearly in the drivers seat. Scores of teams want to play DLS. BG is nothing special.

First off I think you would be fun guy to have a few brews with. Second I have seen the BB vs FB thing go both ways. I have seen guys cross over from Football to play BB and they were just beasts. Rebounding, block out machines that loved contact. I have also seen guys that were complete pu$$ies playing hoop. They didn’t like contact, wouldn’t throw their body around, would get hit in face and become a guy that drives, rebounds, etc, with eyes closed. The same kid would quit BB and start playing football and become a starter at some point when I thought no way they would even make it. All those pads and a helmet can do funny things to people it made me think. Hoop can be pretty darn physical too.

    Gdog how about scotch
AS U CAN C IM REFINED LMAO

see its a rare situation that some one bleeds in BB but it happens every game in FB
BUt ur right, certain plays in BB are dirty, taking some ones feet out when there dunking
    could hurt

  • Stewie

Dam this is turning into a Bromance Page. :)
But I will take a glass of The Glenrothes 1985.
Island Chief needs to host a Luau.

CV Charter will take down Northgate but I think a bit of a fight will be needed to pull off the W. I was surprised how Concord simply rolled over and played dead with Clayton. I was expecting them to beat Concord but send them back to the stone ages was a surprise.

The Spartans need to have a dominating away game as they wrap up these final two games. SRV is standing dead center of the track as the Spartan Train barrels down on them. Final Score: DLS a Large # and SRV a small #

    @MATT SMITH….SOCCER SOCCER 9 days till Nov 5th.
Whats the good word on the beautiful game?

  • hsfootballfan

I was fortunate to watch some texas state football last year in the Dallas metroplex area. I was impressed beyond belief. DLS would be a good team but they wouldnt be as dominate as they are in NCS.

  • panther4

Someone actually brought up soccer on this thread?? No thanks…

  • SB Fan

    @ stewie

CVC blew the doors off of Concord. Very impressed by Proetheroe (RB) and younger brother is a load. I would love to see #5 go somewhere like SJS so he would have a better chance to play.

As for Concord, I was impressed with the size and speed of their WR’s. I was not impressed with the RB. He played real soft. Looked like he was trying not to get hurt before he heads off to Wash St. I know the kid is good, I saw him twice last year and was real impressed.

  • Cokito

    Shinguard, already? :-)

  • Shinguard

@Cokito…Dam right…should be a great season for soccer at all the schools. Expect to see some improvement at Las Lomas & Alhambra. Monte Vista should be hot along with De La Salle and San Ramon. Clayton Valley has all new coaches which should be interesting.
BOD and Campo should do well although the Ball Whisperer is now out here on this side of the tunnel. Sparty will have the showcase again in December with a very good list of teams attending and a possible 5 peat at NCS. OLE OLE. Game On :)
