Harris headed to Boulder

St. Joseph Notre Dame girls basketball star Desiree Harris has orally committed to the University of Colorado.
“I just felt that it was the best fit for me. I really liked the coaches and the team,” the 5-foot-8 point guard said. “The school was great.”
She took official visits to Colorado and the University of the Pacific, and also seriously considered Santa Clara.
Harris averaged 23.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 steals and 2.7 assists per game last season for the 22-11 Pilots, who reached the California Interscholastic Federation Division V Northern regional semifinals. She was also a key player for the 2010-2011 squad which advanced to the CIF Division V Northern regional final.
Colorado finished 21-14 last season and reached the quarterfinals of the WNIT. Its roster this season has only two seniors on it.
