With the loss of football at schools like Santa Clara, St. Mary’s, SF St., Sonoma St., Chico St. & Cal St. Hayward/EB, the local JCs are much stronger than they used to be back in the day. There are far less choices for players who want to continue playing past their high school days.

    I Agree.

Impressed with the job Alonzo Carter has done at Contra Costa. He inherited a program that was the dregs of the state and turned it into a bowl team in three short years. They went 4-6 his first year, 6-4 his second, and now they are conference champs and 7-3. He told me the third year’s been the charm with all his teams, McClymonds, Berkeley, and CCC.
