I only mentioned several. There are a lot more than that! In fact, more than any school in the NCS or OAL.
DeLaSalle is hardly the British Army. In fact, they continue to knock out the invaders attempting to conquer.
Now that u and i are finished with our discussions for the yr for football, u need to get yurself polished up for Coltfan and others who u called out in Jan.

Great points on all counts Voice. It is too bad that with an Open division, no other NCS D1 teams can be considered for the D1 playoff spots. As you point out, the 2010 Cal High squad might have been able to make some noise, as might have this year’s Logan team if given the chance. Instead we get to watch a 3-loss Granite Bay team from SJS that was beaten by Pitt take home the D1 title.

Congrats to the Spartans on yet another state bowl and mythical national championship run. Well earned!

Chalk, I wouldn’t call discipline lack of ability. As far as DLS skill players, DJ, Drew-Jones, Guiterez, Simon, Bates, Toomer were all skill players who made it to the NFL with discipline. So if you think it’s brainwashing, that’s yur opinion, but since u dont know the system or really anything about them, u really are an outsider attempting to look in.
Bye the way, yur HS and college stats? NFL players, major college players, or a bunch of JC Texas players saying wouda, couda, shouda?

Likewise, SnG. I certainly try to call them as I see them. I know my attempts at providing an opinion towards explaining how DLS football is able to dominate (from an NCS D1 public school parent’s perspective) is not always met with universal acceptance.

Truthfully, I agree with most DLS supporters (even Junior!) regarding the reasons for their success once the student athletes get their foot in the door. It’s just their level of success, past and present, is so far off the charts. As incredible as Bob Ladouceur is as a coach and a person, the foundation of his success starts with his ability to draw above average athletes in such numbers that his program is virtually assured of never having a down year the likes of which all the NCS D1 public schools, by definition, have endured at some point over the last 21 years.

Again, my fervent hope is that someday, the NCS will change their D1 playoff format such that a team of the caliber of the 2010 California HS football team for example, would also have a chance to play for a berth in the State Bowl Games, along with DLS.

there is a different type of discipline when u have many options
so maybe he will do better with a bunch of average players
