@EBALDad That would take a little more work than I have time for, to be completely honest. I will try to do something like that one of these weeks, or at the end of the year, but with my last law school semester starting, it might be hard. But I promise to try and get it done some time.

Late input on the academy/HS conversation. I’m all for the high school experience but when a high school program is in shambles and the school is unwilling to fix it then kids who have potential end up losing out. Not going to name names but a once proud and fairly successful program under a former coach has now become the laughing stock of the area with many of its highly talented players (youngers) either contemplating bypassing their last two years of high school soccer or upperclassman who have decided not to play at all. For that reason the academy way is the only option.

I’m just thinking it would be more of an apples to apples comparison, and it would be interesting.

His name is Edgardo Cuellar. Was tipped to be recruited to possible D1 Colleges but he tore his ACL late last year and hasnt been cleared for contact yet. Coach was very adamant that he is a top quality player. Hoping he can return for the final couple weeks of the year.

Very true @MVAL Soccer Fan That is interesting. Do you know the name of the player that the coach considers the best in MVAL? Just curious.

For Freedom, yes, Cendejas is a dangerous attacker. I follow the BVAL as much as I can and this year Freedom has caught my attention quite a bit. They had a rough start early in the preseason, as Matt once put it, some results showed inconsistency, but now they seem to have put it all together and they look solid all around. Good GK’s, strong defending, solid mids and dangerous attackers.

Well, I wish both Freedom and Irvington good luck. Hope they both make NCS!
