San Ramon Valley High quarterback Cameron Birse has orally committed to Arkansas State, according to a report on AStateNation.com.

Birse was No. 2 in the North Coast Section in passing last season behind Cal-bound Jared Goff of Marin Catholic-Kentfield, completing 214 of 362 attempts (.591) for 2,983 yards and 29 touchdowns.

Arkansas State quarterback coach Bush Hamdan reportedly gave Birse his first Division I offer on Tuesday, the week of Birse’s 18th birthday.
