Cal didn’t want him. As the season went on, it was evident that he wasn’t nearly as good as his lofty rating. Workout warrior at the camps. New coaching staff came in and reevaluated .

Hutch Cal player of the yr- also 1st team all norcal and 1st team all cal. TiaPepe Vitale 1st team all norcal and 1st team all cal. Hooper(stanford bound) 1st team all norcal and 1st team all cal. That’s 3 Spartans all everything.

It’s too bad things didn’t work out for him at Cal, but its hard to beat a Yale education. I don’t think the Ivy League schools give full scholarships, but Egu obviously has excellent grades and Yale is a great choice for him. Well done young man.

His story sounds a bit contrived. If he really wants to play football, going to an Ivy League seems like a very odd choice.
