Alameda High boys basketball team forfeits early games

The Alameda High boys basketball team is forfeiting games during a seven-game span this season due to the use of two ineligible players, Alameda athletic director Brad Thomas confirmed Friday.
The span was the first seven games of the Hornets’ season and included victories over Petaluma, Casa Grande, Washington-San Francisco and Fairfield. Thomas said there was a paperwork error, and one of the players is eligible to play now and the other one will be eligible by the end of next week. Thomas declined to name the players.
