Congrats to this young man and his family. ALways great to see a Bay Area Student Athlete get a channce to stay close and play at Cal. I am looking to see how Cal looks with the new coaching staff thats there. It will be interesting. Loved Tedford so I am a bit torn.

Cal has really missed some great talent over the years.
For DLS alone, Guiterrez- Michigan, Landri-Norte Dame, Simon-Tennessee, Bates-Oregon, Colvin-Oregon, Glasper- Oregon, Jones-UCLA, Houston-Wisconsin, Ward-Oregon, Ward- Oregon State, Wynn- Oregon St, Renauld- Boise, Hooper-Stanford and Hutchings-USC and many others.
That’s just one school.
Too much talent escaping North and South.

With his speed he is being wasted at def. end. How about a tight end or running back- another chuck muncie type. It will be interesting on the new cal coaching staff. tedford didnt tap a lot of local talent, seems the new staff is picking up some locals.

Congratulations, Mr. McKinley. It’s a great story for someone off Cutting and/or west of the tracks to get this kind of offer. There are so many distractions, difficulties and even fewer opportunities for many to afford a private HS education in parts of Richmond/WCCUSD that when they persevere, then attend the greatest public University on the planet, it—-is—-awesome. Shout out to the Coaches at JFK-Richmond, well done!
