I agree with your thought on players with college opportunity.

Maybe a HS senior game instead. I bet there are lots of HS seniors who walked off the field for the last time and would Enjoy the opportunity to play in front of their families one more time. Nothing formal. We could probably set something up just through your blog , Facebook, etc. we could get a few of us to volunteer coach , officiate and find local field space.

Anyone interested?

Interesting suggestion, DVAL Future Fan. Not opposed to having one, but with most of the girls having already landed college commitmments, it may come down to a risk-reward situation. Top players are identified in the clubs, so they would have little to gain and a lot to lose by risking injury in a high school all-star game. I know that some varsity coaches take it easy in training on players who may be worn out from a long stretch of club play before the season. Having said that, an all-star game could benefit a diamond- in-the-rough type of player and could tap into league pride, I suppose.
