Bishop O’Dowd High sophomore Ivan Rabb has been selected to 2013-14 USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team. The team is made up of 23 of the nation’s top under-16 players. The team members will train May 30-June 7 in Colorado Springs, Colo., and a 12-member team will be selected to travel to Maldonado, Uruguay, for the FIBA Americas under-16 championships, which are held June 11-15. That tournament serves as a qualifier to the 2014 FIBA under-17 World Championships.

Potential for this young man to be one of the best ever to lace up in the Bay Area. His career will be of much interest and he just might end up being the best player here since Jason Kidd, and the best big guy since…I cannot even think of a name in the last 25 years or so.He blocks shots like Bill Russell but I do not want to go there….yet :)

Way to go Ivan :) This is exciting and especially because Ivan is still so young.

Big fan of Ivan Rabb…when he doesnt get discouraged during games…

I saw him play against Modesto Christian in the playoffs, and I felt that he could have had more of an impact if he would not have gotten down on himself/his team. At least that is what I saw…

Odowd needs to find some shooters to go with Rabb…This was the worst shooting odowd team that Ive seen…it would really open up things for Rabb inside.

    Best of luck to Rabb

Slim, while it’s horrible that not much baseball coverage has taken place, there was one post about a month ago regarding the EBL-DFAL challange that generated a few comments.

With basketball now completely over, hopefully we can get some baseball coverage and comments on here. Volleyball has had way more coverage than baseball up to now. Baseball is heating up.
