Here’s a look at this week’s softball poll. We have a new No. 1 team, but not a lot of significant movement besides that.

    Once again, Alhambra in the 4th spot even though they are in such a weak league, I don’t understand!

    Alhambra’s stellar record, plus its win over Freedom in the stampede, likely have something to do with this. Granted, Monte Vista completely dominated Freedom, but they have a few perplexing losses (such as the one to Deer Valley). Rankings are for fun, by the end of the year they are usually pretty reflective of the strength in the area.

    I was not actually thinking about Monte Vista but since you mention them, they not only dominated Freedom they also handed Alhambra their only loss. As for the Deer Valley loss, I think everyone has one game they should have won but everyone has a bad day! Enough about Monte Vista, as you say it will unfold at the end!
