It was certainly a day for repeats Thursday at the Tri-County Athletic League cross country championships.
In the girls race, Spencer Moore won her fourth straight individual league title as the Panthers also defended their TCAL championship team title at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline.
Moore was first in the 2.96-mile race with a time of 18 minutes, 2 seconds. She was the Bay Shore Athletic League individual champion as a freshman and sophomore before winning the TCAL title last year.
St. Joseph Notre Dame’s Veronica Aguila was the runner-up in 18:41, followed by the Panthers’ Chloe Jenkins (third, 19:09) and Julia English (fourth, 19:38).
Gabe Arias-Sheridan and St. Joseph Notre Dame successfully defended their TCAL titles in the boys race.
Arias-Sheridan, a senior, won the 2.96-mile race in 15 minutes, 4 seconds as the Pilots took the first four places and finished with an outstanding score of 17. Michael Murphy (15:39), Matthew Murphy (15:42) and Cooper Teare (15:44) completed the top four for St. Joseph Notre Dame. Besides his two TCAL individual cross country titles, Arias-Sheridan won the BSAL boys individual title as a freshman.
