Deer Valley’s Nzuzi Webster chooses Eastern Washington

Deer Valley High football player Nzuzi Webster made an oral commitment to Eastern Washington on Tuesday night.
The 5-foot-11, 173-pound Webster took an official visit to the Eastern Washington campus in Cheney earlier this month.
“I went on my visit and I loved it up there. I thought it was a great fit for me,” said Webster, who was recruited by Eastern Washington as a defensive back. He had 72 tackles, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries last season.
Oakland Raider Taiwan Jones played at Eastern Washington and is a Deer Valley graduate,
“He told me about the school, how it is up there, basically what to expect,” Webster said. “I like it up there a lot.”
Webster also seriously considered Portland State and Sacramento State before choosing Eastern Washington.
Deer Valley’s Nsimba Webster, who was named last season’s Bay Area News Group East Bay Offensive Player of the Year, has not announced his college plans yet. Nzuzi and Nsimba are twins.
