The Falcons ended the season with 29 straight wins, doing so with a sweep of Mission San Jose in the North Coast Section’s Division I finals.

A lot has been made, and for good reason, about the volleyball teams in the East Bay Athletic League.
Without a doubt, that league has the top talent and the best teams from top to bottom. So much so, in fact, that we are probably going to see five playoff teams come out of that league.
But that doesn’t mean is there isn’t quality volleyball in some of the other leagues, and in specific the Alameda Contra Costa Athletic League has two very good teams.

It might have been a bit slow in the North Coast Section with it being Spring Break for quite a few schools, but a number of ranked teams headed up to Chico for the Pleasant Valley Tournament this past weekend.

If you look through the Bay Area News Group’s East Bay boys volleyball coaches poll, you will see a bunch of East Bay Athletic League teams, you will see power houses like Deer Valley and you will see a team with one loss in Northgate.
And upon further inspection, you will find, at No. 8, the Mission San Jose Warriors, a team that is currently dominating the Mission Valley Athletic League with an 8-0 record.

The Foothill Falcons set a goal for themselves, and on Saturday they saw what determination can do for you.
The Foothill boys volleyball team wanted to win a tournament this year, and they won a big one by taking the Northgate Tournament and they did so by knocking off the remaining to undefeated teams in the North Coast Section.
