Wrestling: Lou Bronzan Invitational next week

Just talked to Liberty wrestling coach Greg Chappel, who is putting on the Lou Bronzan Invitational on Dec. 22-23. The tournament dates back to 1983 and is an end-of-year staple in the East Bay.
This year, Chappel says there are 56 teams sending wrestlers, about 10 more than last year.

Chappel said there are about 60-65 entries at this point in the girls division.
Among the teams from out of the area are McQueen-Reno, Exeter from Tulare County, and from the state of Washington, Montesano. De La Salle, Benicia and St. Francis are among some of the top teams from the region sending wrestlers.
Acalanes, Albany, Amador Valley, American, Antioch, Berean Christian, Cal High, Clayton Valley, Deer Valley, Dougherty Valley, Dublin, Foothill, Heritage, irvington, James Logan, Kennedy, Livermore Valley Charter, Miramonte, Mt. Diablo, Pittsburg, San Ramon Valley and Washington are among the East Bay contingents.
