Sometimes it can just be about locution, locution, locution.
A Canadian study looked at what words help and hurt real estate listings and the results were a little surprising.
Paul Anglin, a University of Guelph professor, found that words like “good value” and “motivated seller” took a home 15 percent longer. Good words? Using “beautiful” in a listing moved the homes 15 percent faster and raised the price 5 percent.
Bad words? Superficially positive words like “clean” and “new paint.”
