Morrison wants Lane
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 at 5:47 pm in Oakland Raiders.
Lane Kiffin isn’t the only one who hopes he will be the Raiders coach for the 2008 season.
During a guest appearance on “The Jim Rome Show” on radio row at the Super Bowl in Glendale, Ariz., middle linebacker Kirk Morrison was asked what was going to happen with his head coach.
“I have no idea. He’s under contract to be our head coach,” Morrison said. “I definitely want him back as our head coach. He did a lot for us this year. Just the mindset of the players, he changed the way we practiced. He changed the way we played. There were a lot of football games out there that we didn’t win.
“We felt we got robbed by Mike Shanahan, with the timeout. We didn’t close out a lot of games over the course of the season. We had a lot of fourth quarter leads. We had fourth-quarter leads in six of the 12 losses. You hold onto those, we’re a 10-6 football team fighting to get into the playoffs.
“That’s the attitude we’re trying to move into next year, competing the right way in the fourth quarter and not making mistakes. We made mistakes in the fourth quarter, and that’s not on the coach. That’s on the players. Lane Kiffin is bringing that attitude that we compete the right way and finish football games.”
The Raiders actually held five fourth-quarter leads. They lost the lead on the ensuing possession four of those times, with Detroit, Chicago and Indianapolis taking the lead and Denver coming back to tie.
Howie’s kid
Hall of Fame defensive end Howie Long was asked by Rome about his son Chris, a defensive end out of Virginia and the oldest of his three football-playing sons. Long is considered someone the Raiders will take a very close look at with the third or fourth pick in the draft, pending a coin flip with Atlanta.
“If I wanted to have you mauled, I’d send Kyle. He’s 6-7, 290 _ he’s the middle one. If I wanted to have you tortured, I’d send Howie,” Howie Long said. “The one that’s the predator, obviously, is Chris. Chris is a really nice guy. He’s fun to talk to. You’d enjoy meeting him, you’d enjoy talking to him. But when the switch goes on, he will choke you.”
All quiet
A Raiders executive said Wednesday afternoon he was enjoying the quietest day at the facility since the end of the regular season.
Saunders to Rams
Al Saunders signed a three-year contract to become offensive coordinator with the St. Louis Rams.
The Raiders, according to Saunders’ agent Bob LaMonte and another with the Washington Redskins, contacted Washington before Saunders was fired and asked for permission to talk to him. They never followed up and requested an interview even after Saunders was essentially a free agent.
Registration hoax
According to the online editor, the posts regarding registration for this site were someone’s idea of a joke.
I am told there currently are no plans for registration to this blog.
Responses will be moderated as time allows. Sharp criticism and passion can be achieved without name-calling and swearing. Posts with swear words (including the use of characters to replace letters in obvious swear words) will be deleted, although some slip past due to time contraints and volume.
Repeat offenders will have their I.P. banned. Also subject to being banned are those who use the names of others.
Deletions can be admittedly subjective and I often err on the side of caution. If it’s something of questionable taste _ something I wouldn’t want one of my own kids to read _ I’m deleting it. Other moderators may be more liberal. I’m sure registration will be discussed at a later date if the blog continues to grow and too many people can’t play by the rules.

I’m glad someone(the guy who should be the defensive co captain with nnamdi) stepped up and backed kiffin, sweet sound to my ears
January 30th, 2008 at 5:52 pm
Im still nervous about the whole kiffin thing
thanks for the update jerry. Did they ask howie about Chris possibly going to the Raiders?
There were rumblings that they dont want that to be a possibility.

Men, please leave the moderator out of this.

This last season can be spun so many different ways. I prefer to look at it like kirk does, With Fish gone, maybe our guys can step up some endurance training to avoid 5 4th quarter blowouts…
Folks need to chill and let the offeason transpire. I stopped trippin on the Quagmire, because Al is Al, and maybe he needs a young version of himself to grab him by the cohones and force him to step back and let a HC be a HC…
This blog rocks.. Thanks Jerry.

Al Davis is getting a bad rap. Sure he’s old, out of touch and ill of health but hey, he’s won in the past. And if you believe he’s got all his horses moving in the same direction then it’s OK for Hillary to be President.

(What the heck? I totally got the raw end of that deal. I mean seriously…I’d rather be Mike Vick in jail…I’m sure he can tackle better. You’d think Huff24 would have been obvious. That just hurts. I guess I can be positive and say that his job is better than mine so I shouldn’t mind.)

People snitch to save their own tail. Period. Most people are selfish and are just looking to get by and if it means saving their own hide, they’ll do anything. Life is precious to people now…at least in this country. Killing a man over saying something about his mom has changed.

Hmmm, nothing important in this update. So, should I watch American Idol or Ghost Hunters International or the prez debate?
GHI it is.

We will actually have to be civil to each other, imagine that. Either that or we will have to be much more creative. No more Fbombs OG, you might have to go to rehab.

Morrison wants Kiffin?
Wow. LOL. It has to kill the Raiders’ front office that a defensive player endorsed Kiffin.
January 30th, 2008 at 6:38 pm
What a surprise. Nothing that we’ve read regarding the demise of the Raiders and Lane Kiffin has turned out to be true. He’s still here, and has even interviewed James Lofton for an as-yet unspecified position with the team. Looks like the defense hasn’t chosen sides against the head coach, either, as has been reported. Sounds like the attitude has changed for the better, and the players are looking forward to taking it to another level next year. Works for me.
I don’t blame the Raiders one bit for not talking to the media unless they feel like it. There are way more important things to do (like working on improving the team for next year) than to worry about what some clown that needs to sell advertising decides he (or she) wants to make up to rile the masses this week.
Long time Raider fans have seen all this before. It’s a little unnerving sometimes, but if you bleed silver and black it’s just part of the deal. It’s why we’re interesting and everyone else is so boring. Except maybe for the Pats. I know it’s bordering on sacrilege to acknowlege anything they do as positive, but anyone who’s been around long enough knows that Spygate, stonewalling the media and and nasty line play are right out of the old Raider playbook. In the words of Mr. Gene Upshaw… “Our philosophy was this; if you ain’t cheatin’ you ain’t tryin’.”
January 30th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Morrison, meet Al’s dog house, and likely the bench. Bench, Al’s doghouse; Kirk Morrison. Mingle, gentlemen.
January 30th, 2008 at 6:42 pm
Raiderfrombirth, considering what we do know, i.e,, Kiffin wanting a new DC, him not getting one, etc; I’d be hesitant to declare that the story about the resignation isn’t true. My belief is that there was a letter, and Davis softened his position. Kiffin is not a puppet, and refuses to be one. Kiffin wanted a new DC, and didn’t get it. All is not well in Raiderland. It’s just likely that Kiffin will be here at least one more year, and probably will have some pull and decision making. But as long as Rob Ryan is on that sideline, Kiffin will be plotting his exit strategy, a la Gruden.

“Morrison, meet Al’s dog house, and likely the bench. Bench, Al’s doghouse; Kirk Morrison. Mingle, gentlemen.”
Crap MaddenRaider that is a scary thought right there.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:05 pm
MaddenRaider… Or plotting Ryan’s. Big Boy’s contract is up next year and if his guys don’t step up he’ll get his two minutes to find another gig.
Listen, I’m not putting my head in the sand about the resignation thing. Al is old and stubborn and Kiffin is young and stubborn, but the best thing for the RAIDERS (for a lot of reasons) is to have Kiffin remain the coach and try and fix the defense via free agency and the draft. If Ryan can’t show progress with better players and another year with the young guys he has now, then out he goes and Kiffin gets the DC he wants and Al approves of. It’s not a coincidence that Kiffin’s (alleged) first choice is, like Ryan, still under contract but only for next season.
I do not for one minute doubt that the subject of Kiffin’s resignation came up. I also do not for one minute doubt that it was blown way out of proportion.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
aaaaaahhhhhh
January 30th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
Would it really matter if Morrison was on the bench? Its not like hes able to make a tackle with the current defensive line anyways so what the deuce?

MR…stop it you son of a biscuit, I meant fudge.

Very clever, nice tie in. Very creative. Thanks for the laugh bro.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:16 pm
Madden Raider - I share most opinions with you but how long are you going to go on about Al Davis or the letter or whatever? I mean…come on. 90% voted that they wanted Al Davis gone but what difference does it make right now? It is what it is. I’m not saying to forget what you know or to not fight for what you believe but 98% of your posts are about Al Davis. I completely understand that but there comes a time when other things become more interesting. I throw out the debate once and awhile and I know you’re a fighter but lets be real here…we can speculate all we want and we can assume we know what we’re talking about and we can believe what we want to believe but…
Kiffin is here. I don’t know for how long. I don’t know if he really wanted Rob Ryan fired. I don’t know why Rob Ryan is still here. I don’t know anything. I have an opinion on how Al Davis is and so do you but stop beating that poor horse. You killed it after the 1st month and its been dead for over a thousand years and you’re still beating it. For God Sakes man…put down that stick and bury the horse already. Throw some jabs once and awhile but there are months between every fight so take it easy.
Are we not Raider fans? We are. Are we mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore? Sure…but let there be some peace in between wars. This is not an order soldier…this is a plead. Pick and choose buddie. Thats all.

Its funny how people are told not to do something and that makes them want to do it even more and thats in regards to the cussing. Hey…Thats why people left the Kingdom of England to form the United States. We just don’t like doing what we’re told.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Regarding the Snitching thing:
My experience in the corporate world was a little different; I worked at a huge bank in my twenties (I’m 33 now) and there was a merger. All of a sudden there were all of these extraneous middle managers, all baby boomers. We had to watch our backs, big time.
I’ve also experienced what MaddenRaider talked about, and he’s right, it’s the way those kids were brought up.
Does this snitch theory apply to the Kiffin/Ryan/Davis “letter of resignation” debacle? Maybe Kiffin was discussing making a change, and someone snitched to Al and then the media, and Al, who reminds me more and more of Simon Bolivar in Gabriel Garcia Marquez’s “The General in his Labyrinth,” lashed out?
January 30th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
BTW, Blogs are free at blogger.com, and you cuss as much as you want.
Dakota, if your wife farted on your Raiders blanket, you should thank her for bringing a little warmth…it’s gotta be freezing where you are.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Can you even smell farts in Dakota? The cold probably annhilates any kind of smell.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
You nasty scum
January 30th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
I’m 25 so I can see what everyone is talking about in regards to snitching. The U.S. is soft in alot of ways. If you spoke out against your parents back in the day, it was whoopin time. Now…The parent does anything and the child calls the cops and the parents are frowned upon. There is no…suck it up anymore. Its band aid for this and band aid for that.
Also, people are money hungry and the younger generation has to fight their way through all the politics to get where they want and I think some feel they can’t fight through the tougher people so its “easier” to go another route and the older generation will defend their position with fierce because of fear that their job will be taken from them by someone much younger and cheaper. Alot of people get screwed from retirement because companies don’t want to pay the money and its the employees who have to worry. Look at the economy today…its not going too well at this stage.
Anyways…there are so many variables to everything. We could cover all of this kind of stuff for days.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:41 pm
Do NFL coaches get paid each month or only weekly during the season? Could Kiff be going in to the office every day without getting paid. I wouldn’t put it past Davis.
Sounds like some of you have some faith in Al. I don’t. I go back to just as he was leaving Oakland, and he said, “We never had any problem with the fans in Oakland.” That’s the best he good say about the fans that sold out the Coliseum for over 10 years.
I ran into an old high school classmate (years ago now) that had recently left the Raiders. He loathed Davis, saying Davis only cared about the players.
If you want to believe in him, cool. But, although I can’t help but watch every minute of every game, I do it via DirecTV cuz I ain’t never gonna send Davis another penny in season ticket money.
January 30th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
I am 100% in favor of registration. I am not sure, though, what you mean by “Also subject to being banned are those who use the names of others.”
January 30th, 2008 at 7:46 pm
Rone,
There were a lot of trolls who would post under the nicknames of well-known posters. It was confusing.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
Jerry how about deleting those inane posts claiming “First”?
January 30th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Some of you guys are very immature. Instead of respecting Jerry’s wish and desire to hold a blog devoted to mature discussions about the Raiders and related topics, some of you choose to test the rules by playing at the edges of posting curse words. Come on! That’s for Donkey, Chief, Charger, and 49er fans. Please.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
I thought all along that the force Kiffin out thing was a bunch of bull to stir things up. They don’t like Al Davis and they don’t have the integrity to stick to the truth. If those things were true who would know about them? Only maybe a handfull of people working in the inner offices for The Raiders, and if they were going around running their mouths it wouldn’t be that hard for Al or his top aids to figure out who they were and they would be gone, so I don’t believe they would be that foolish to go talking to begin with. These “sorces” that these reporters refur to I think are probably one of them talking to another one, and then taking his speculations as a news sorce.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
Jerry,
Any truth to the rumor that Al made Kiff apologize to the team for job hunting?
January 30th, 2008 at 8:16 pm

Saintkaufman, I will bite my tong so that I don’t say what I really think of Moss and that article. Warren Sapp played on the same Raiders team and even though he was not the same player as earlier in his carreer he certainly play with passion, intensity, and gave everything he had left.

“All 49er fans do is whine and dine”

January 30th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
1. Chris Long
2. Sedrick Ellis
3. Glenn Dorsey
Thats the rankings gents. And no, the Terrapin has not gone insane. I haven’t seen Long play in a while but from what I remember he’s a big time playmaker. Ellis and Dorsey are really neck-n-neck, but I gotta give Ellis the slight edge for a few reasons: (granted, from the only two games I’ve watched)
1. Ellis looks to be a better technichan (hand placement etc truly unblockable)
2. Ellis seems to present a greater pass rushing threat
3. Dorsey may be a pin prick better vs run but not that much better
4. Ellis seriously COMMANDS a double team. If you don’t double him he’ll get through for sure.
5. Ellis looks to have a higher motor than Dorsey
6. Lastly, Ellis may have an edge in his versatility between NT in a 3-4 and DT in a 43.
All-in-all it is of my current opinion, until further evidence suggest otherwise, that Ellis is a better player.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Terp,
you’re not allowed to use the 5th word in #3 regarding Dorsey.
January 30th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Terrapin…I think most of us would be happy with any one of those 3 playing for the Raiders.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
Yep, all 3 of them are neck-n-neck. Its just a matter of which flavor do you want. DE or DT. They all will make an impact imo.
It was very interesting how they rotated Ellis between the 2 DT spots. Like Kiffin was doing an all out evaluation. They did a good job of it too. And I don’t know if its coincidence but I also noticed the situations they put him in - i.e. when the South was backed up against the goaline (Ellis got a safety), South had the North defense backed up on goaline after a North turnover in own territory (Ellis put continuous pressure on Woodson, qb hurries, resulted in FG), and they put him in at the very end of the game (Ellis made a great play against Ange, almost sacked him but still got ‘em for a loss).
If someone doesn’t like my word usage then ….they know what they can do.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
“The one that’s the predator, obviously, is Chris. Chris is a really nice guy. He’s fun to talk to. You’d enjoy meeting him, you’d enjoy talking to him. But when the switch goes on, he will choke you.”
lol, that has Raider written all over it.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
What did Morrison say about Kiffin last week on Sirius? How does it compare to what he just told Rome?
January 30th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Wow, This is my first time posting and you guys are some funny ones. Been a Raider Fan since before I can remember, and every year we get mad at Al and need him to change but he never will. Al does what Al does and don’t ask any questions. Oh yeah, What the French…Toast.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
Here is my post on that stupid Jemele Hill Moss article. She essentially says it’s ok to quit at on your team if they suck bad enough. I had to post as HOWIESFLATTOP…because Bo Jackson’s Hip was either taken or I registered it before and didn’t know the password. Enjoy!
What a joke! Randy is a hero….Randy is an MVP…..Randy has been so mature and such a good teammate! HEEEEELLLLOOOOOO!!!! ! They are 18-0….they have not lost a game….of course Moss is happy. Wait for something to go wrong…..watch them lose this game and hear Moss cry like a baby because they didn’t throw him the ball enough. Moss is a pathetic selfish LOSER!!!!!!! If there is any justice in this world the Patriots will lose this game, and Moss and the Patriots will show there true colors.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:50 pm
And while I am on the subject….How do you think Brady would have done behind our line in 2006?
January 30th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Per Raiderfans.net premium forum, “insider info.”
James Lofton has been hired by coach Kiffin and Al Davis know’s about it. Kiffin still has a good chance of being bought out of his contract and not being the HC of the Raiders next year.”
Your guess is as good as mine.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Lofton was FIRED as a Receiver’s coach!!! That is just the man I want to be our next Head Coach!!!
January 30th, 2008 at 9:57 pm
The Raiders have hired him as there WR’s coach.
January 30th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
Until Crazy Al Fires or buys Kiffin out…then who do you think the job will go to?
January 30th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
No one has any ideah…. the thought is that James Lofton might steep in if Kiffin is bought out of his contract, only time will tell.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:02 pm
Just been reading through these posts and, though usually I skip over his moniker I decided to read what Huff had to say this time. I’m impressed that he attempted to be the voice of reason concerning MaddenRaiders constant Al bashing. Good job young man.
I always have found expletives to be useful parts of language. They do convey succinctly what might otherwise take a long string of words to say.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
John Madden 1969 1979 112 39 7 1
Tom Flores 1979 1988 105 90 0 2
Mike Shanahan 1988 1989 8 12 0
Art Shell 1989 1995 56 41 0
Mike White 1995 1996 15 17 0
Joe Bugel 1997 1998 4 12 0
Jon Gruden 1998 2002 40 28 0
Bill Callahan 2002 2003 17 18 0
Norv Turner 2004 2006 9 23 0
Art Shell 2006 2007 2 14 0
Lane Kiffin 2007 present 4 12 0
Go down the list…Legit Coaches Madden, Flores, Shanahan, Gruden
and only time will tell with Kiffin…sadly he probably won’t get the chance to prove it.
All those other losers were desperation hires:
Shell = only won because he had future HOF players.
White = Do I need to comment?
Bugel = Art Shell with no talented players
Callahan = Grudens Coat Tails
Turner = Great OC….average HC….even with that SD team they still couldn’t excited to play anybody.
Shell 2.0 = One word….Walsh
Kiffin = Time will tell …hopefully.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:31 pm
Well actually, Bo Jackson’s Hip, If you look even a suspect coach like Shell, had a winning record because he was given time to coach and gain the respect of the players. Kiff has started from the absolute bottom, and team that had won only 2 games the year before, a horrid offense, a defense that had a bunch of questions, and at least, AT LEAST, we came close to winning, and broke that AFC West losing streak we had. He has shown signs of being great, although it will not happen, if you give him 2 years, we will be playoff bound, he just needs time. And no, 1 year is not time.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:34 pm
Rott,
I whole heartedly agree.
January 30th, 2008 at 10:44 pm
Okay, Moderator. Point taken. I promise not to try to slip in any more innuendo.
BJH: I’ve never actually seen all of the Raiders’ head coaches records stacked up like that. Thanks.
The front page at espn.com right now makes me want to puke.
St. Randy, took a pay cut to play for a winner. One of this Baby’s mamas says that if he hadn’t have been traded, he would have retired.
I’m going to bed now, and hopefully I’ll wake up and this will all have been a nightmare.
January 30th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
Bo’s Hip, I agree with your assessment of Art’s first go-round as a coach. His benching of Marcus Allen and Steve Beurlein was whack. We only had one truly outstanding year his first time around, and even then, we got trounced in the AFC Championship. That 12- 4 season was fool’s gold because we played a weak schedule that year. After that, we hovered around .500. Walsh got him fired back then. Some horrific drafts around that time, too. Todd Marinovich and Nick Bell even though Anthony Smith had a couple of good years. That’s when the decline of the Raiders began.
Point well made re: Moss. Tim Brown didn’t punk out when he had to catch passes from a string of mediocre QBs’. If Moss was truly a player, he would’ve done everything he could to take each pass he caught to the house. He would’ve tried to catch every pass, too. Especially the ones that hit him in the hands.

I didn’t want to believe it but Al Davis is holding the Raiders back. I’ve been in denial this whole time by backing Al up when all my closes friends tell me that “he’s the reason why you guys won’t get anywhere.” Im sorry and I’d hate to say it but…it’s TRUE! Why Al? Why throw it all away? Let Coach Kiffin get his shine. He needs to make the player personal decissions, its only right. He knows the ingredients to win so let him run wild. Let him select his crop of players and watch what happens. You know he’s well informed with the young players in the league. He knows who’s next so let him have his say. With that said if he wanted to fire Ryan then so be it, let it happen. I see his point, you gave up 5 4th quarter leads this year. Far from average. The 4-3 defense is so 1990. Get with the times and switch it up fast! To what? C’mon everyone knows the 3-4 is best in the NFL. It works! You need that extra speed at linebacker to keep up with the jones. In conclusion, keep the young coach he’s got talent and he’s only going to get better. And remember no more scholarships, including coaches.

Thanks for the info on Capt. Kirk. I just want the drama over soon, so the Raiders can focus on winning.
As for the moderation thing… just be civil people. Thats all they are asking

French Toast, I have no idea, I saw it on a commercial a few days ago. Instead of “what the (obvious word here)”.

I think that “The Truth Revealed” is really Tom Walsh typing from his Bed & Breakfast in Idaho.

I couldn’t care less who coaches. It’s all about the players. Al has overseen a franchise that competed in 5 straight AFC Title games in the 70’s and also oversees a team 25 years later that appeared in 3 straight title games in the 2000’s (yes, counting tuck rule game). So that rules out the “game has passed him by theory.” It’s the players that get it done.
January 31st, 2008 at 9:59 am
tuck rule wasn’t a title game. pitt and ne was the title game.
THe 70s were coached by madden, 2000s by gruden except one year (but his team).
horrible facts lester!

the whole situation with the raiders is a joke..as a raider fan for 40 years, this is frustrating, as al davis still tries to act like he’s the football mind , and can get this turned around..
i am completley turned off, all this stuff behind the head coaches back, and the changing of the head coach every year has grown old..you would think al davis with only 7 winning seasons in the last 24 years, with the last 5, only winning 19 and losing 61, he would want something changed…folks this is not the players, the coaches fault, not even bill cowher could revive this team , with the way al davis runs it..al has got to go before any steps forward will ever be made again in raider town..

As I watched the Senior Bowl and listened to comments about Kiffen not wearing Raiders clothing, I noticed Coach Nolan wearing the exact same attire as Coach Kiffen. All assistant coaches wore team colors while both head coaches wore Under Amour clothing. Under Armour was the sponsor of the Senior Bowl this year.

I wish Al Davis nothing but the best when the aliens that created his wardrobe come back for him. Lets just all hope it is soon!

Perry? Correct sir…..19-61 last 5 years, and only 68 out of a possible 160 games the past 10 years…..very shabby….previous 5 years we won 49 games. Its about time AL Davis reads this….We Suck and Well at that. WAF!

All we have been committed to is bending ova and taking it.

Lester 37 we didnt go to 3 str8 title games. When we lost to the Pats thats wasnt the title game. When Gannon got hurt against the Ravens that was the Title game. When we played in the SB we beat SD in the Title game….so maybe to str8 not 3.

Good! Now the blog will get back to normal, and we can lose all the cheesy Jim Rome show jargon. It’s post- adolescent and annoying. I invite Coach Sean and Coach On Wheels back to the blog…at least they wanted to talk about football more than they wanted to have a “SMACK-OFF” on the blog. Bob Marley, you are old school too…
Let’s talk football.
“LAST”.

If everyone here would direct their energy towards the Faiders Home Page to submit their pros and cons in regards to Alvin The Chipmunk Davis handling of the Faiders, they do keep a number list from good=1 to bad=5 on the comments you send them. Davis does get this list everyday. The Faider Fans are sending the front office a 9 to 1 ratio for Davis to depart the orifice of the Faiders……………This Loften deal is a joke, why hire a loser as an assistant, no other team wants Loften. He did not like playing for the Faiders when he was here. Let go as an assistant when he was here……………….

All right for our best defensive player..Listen to Kirk Al.Kirk is right we could easily have been 10-6 last year, and this year we will be 10-6, or better, looking at our schedule we could be 12-4..another note, we play the Ne patsies next year, if they win the superbowl, depending on how early we play them next year, we could be the ones to end their streak..look for the silver and black to put a hurttin’ on “Randy, I don’t try unless my team is perfect” Moss.

wasn’t Al’s record Horrible his first year as coach of the raiders back in the early 60’s?
February 1st, 2008 at 9:09 am
actually I am wrong..he was 10-4 his first year, however he was 5-7-2 his 2nd year, then 8-5-1 his 3rd season ..Not exactly a John Madden type record…Let’s see what Lane does this year.
February 1st, 2008 at 2:34 pm
SO AL is done… did this happen before or after we went to the superbowl in 02? Al has done everything for this franshise thats worth talking about good, which is alot. I will never turn my back on him for that, he was our coach in the start and owner in the end. He was the one that coined the phrase commitment to excellent, he gave us the Raider image. U guys should be tried for mutiny and treason.
