Morant signed, Spieker waived

Defensive tackle Tranell Morant, who participated in the three-day rookie minicamp on a tryout, was signed to the Raiders roster.
Center Adam Spieker was waived.

i totally agree… and if half of those thought come true we should be interesting to watch for the first time in 5 yrs. i truly hope thats the case
and for k. robinson on the other hand i see why we should give him a chance b/c we have a bunch of wide outs but how many are accomplised recievers with injury history?

I would take a flyer out on robinson. It might help to sober him up knowing that this is his last chance.

I would run at Robinson and Henry. Put them both on a 6pm after practice curfew. In bed by 9pm program. If I got wind that either player was caught with so much as a cough drop they would be a$$out.

Thec, with all due respect, Henry and Robinson are options, and I’m not oppossed th their being brought in, but the idea of some sort of 9:00pm curfew that is directed at them, and only them would never fly.
They’re grown Men and they certainly have Pride. I’m not opposssed to a discreet form of “baby sitting” but ultimately all of the problem “children” ultimately need to find it within themselves to become Proffessional athelete’s/businessmen or they simply will be out of business so to speak,

To add to post 15, any thing out of line with the companies code of ethics and conduct would warrent an imediate dismissal from the NATION.
That is why i would take a flyer on henry and robinson.
The Raiders are 1 of 2 places that would take them. the other is dall-a$$.

Len, #27 hell of a post. I hear where you are coming from, I would give these guys very little wiggle room they have maybe 1 more shot at a team after that no matter what i or anyone else says they are a$$ out.

anybody know if the dischargers signed newberry? I know they had offered him a contract after, hardwick went under the knife. He has 4 more months of hab work. will miss the season opener.

Are people still talking about signing Chris Henry? You do understand that as soon as this guy gets nailed for assault on his pending case the NFL is going to ban him for at least 1 year? So why sign him? Why waste a roster spot on a guy that will be gone at some point just prior to or during the season?
Or do you guys really buy into that innocent until proven guilty line of crap society throws at you? lol.

Koren is actually not that bad of a guy, he just keeps making dumb mistakes. He is not a player that i would consider to be a cancer to a young team. That being said i would rather use the reps that he would take to develop guys like Reece and Schillens, who are both very intriguing guys with great size speed and kick coverage ability IMO. Shields will probably make the team as will Higgins. With Carter, Curry, and Walker virual locks to make the team, that leaves Mcfoy, Buchanon,Shileds, Schilens to battle it out.

As soon as other men are made responsible for the personal actions of their teammates, the entire team is at stake. Bring in no more players who need babysitters!

Watto: Me too! I thought it was Johnny Morant as well. I didn’t know to be excited or wonder what happened to him. I remember his scouting when drafted was he was inconsistant and didn’t like to work. That doesn’t go well w/kiffin and the new coaches.

Henry is not that bad of a choice. We need a big receiver to go up and get the ball. We had Cry baby Moss who was a cancer on the team. and didn’t do jack for us. The Raiders just need to put some type of clause in his contract that if he screws up he is out of here. I believe that he just needs a new start. Anyone who plays for the Bengals are just jacked and wants out. Look at Delta O’Neil….Chad Johnson…. Corey Dillion….So on and so on….
