Suspect arrested in Javon Walker case

We could soon be getting some answers in what happened to Raiders wide receiver Javon Walker in Las Vegas. Police there arrested a suspect today in the robbery and beating case.
According to the Associated Press, 30-year-old Arfat Fadel was arrested and charged with a bunch of felonies, including kidnapping and robbery. Apparently, Fadel was arrested by Vegas police last Friday. They are still looking for a second suspect.

LAS VEGAS (AP)—Las Vegas police have made an arrest in the robbery and beating case involving NFL player Javon Walker.
Lt. Clinton Nichols said Tuesday that 30-year-old Arfat Fadel is suspected of multiple felonies including kidnapping and robbery. Police said Fadel was arrested Friday and police were looking for a second suspect.
Nichols said police believe the second man is still in Las Vegas.
He said the 29-year-old Walker got into a vehicle with the two men early June 16 before he was found beaten and unconscious on a side street near the Las Vegas Strip.
Walker told police $3,000 in cash and about $100,000 in j***** were taken.
Police said Walker suffered a moderate concussion and significant facial injuries. He was treated at a Las Vegas hospital.
He signed a six-year, $55 million deal with the Raiders after being released by the Denver Broncos in February.

Well I have defended Gallery high salary several times, being a former tackle and now a guard but still on a tackle salary… Does anybody still think he is overpaid… I dont, he proved how good a lineman he is last year, and without Sims at his side, I believe he’ll be better….

some years ago there was huge heist in Ireland… they went home to a boss of a bank, tied up his family and gave him roofy/rohyphnol….then he went “voluntary” to the bank opened it and they went away….

It’s a big scam/rip-off for people like me and you, but if Jovan is spending 15K already, a guy is probably just watching things anyway, even without getting greased. A concussion can screw up your memory pretty bad. One time during spring ball in the 11th grade i got into a fight with one our d-lineman. He hit me with a vicious hook and all i remember after that 1st punch is my coach pulling me off of him. The next day i was gettin much respect and the guy had a nasty black eye. I heard several different accounts of the events and to this day I dont know exactly what happened(besides that i kicked his a$$). Just telling this story to say maybe Javon isn’t lying, he might not have any memory of those events.

Jerry Rice got busted by police in a Mountain View, CA “massage parlor”, but at least he was running hills the next morning getting into top shape, driving himself physically to the limits in preparation for each coming season.
I could care less if Javon likes to party, but when it takes priority over football then it’s an issue for Raider Nation.
Hopefully he uses this to come into training camp ready to commit to winning, but that’s hard to believe right now.

I personally know Javon and can guarantee that no drugs were involved. He is genuinely a good guy and looks out for everyone around him. He does take football seriously and on a normal basis is in bed by 10pm and up at 5am to train. It’s sad that everyone chooses to focus on the nights he was in a club spraying champagne because I’m sure there are much worse things that go on in Vegas. The truth is that none of us were there to know what really happened and the main concern should be his health.
