Why Favre is a bad idea
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Monday, July 14th, 2008 at 8:55 am in Oakland Raiders.
Let’s go ahead and assume for the sake of a blog file that Brett Favre would consider joining the Raiders.
It would seem to be a near-certainty it won’t happen, with Favre resisting the notion of being dispatched to a franchise which has been the NFL’s Siberia five years running and hoping for one last shot at the postseason.
But imagine Al Davis getting a one-on-one audience with Favre. He is his usual persuasive self, stunning Favre with minute details about his background, holding him spellbound with tales about the greatness of the Raidahs, reminding him of the magic he held at the Coliseum following the death of his father and making the point that he could be the difference in a young team which added considerable talent this past offseason.
Like the Packers last season, the Raiders would be running a zone-blocking running game and a pass offense that has West Coast roots but also the propensity for the occasional big play. Favre would be reunited with Javon Walker and be the quarterback most likely to bring out all that talent.
Favre could serve as a mentor to quarterback JaMarcus Russell, who wouldn’t have to be force-fed to the NFL. Imagine what it would do to Favre’s legacy to turn a a team with a 19-61 record over the last five years into a winner.
It sounds appealing . . . kind of like the acquisition of Randy Moss did once upon a time.
I was having a discussion with another NFL writer at one of the minicamps about Russell and which quarterback he most resembles. Names such as Daunte Culpepper and Steve McNair invariably surface, given the quarterback’s size, arm strength and the color of his skin. He has been linked to John Elway because of the throwing arm.
If I had to chose, the best model for Russell is Favre. Like Favre, Russell has the big throwing arm. Like Favre, Russell can move, but uses the movement to get extra time to pass rather than take off and run. Like Favre, Russell had a laid-back decidedly Southern outlook on things.
We won’t know for sure, but there are early indications that Russell, provided he makes enough plays, could be an unconventional kind of leader in that regard just as Favre has been for the Packers. He won’t be a Rich Gannon taskmaster so much as a relaxed prodder who keeps others calm because of his own demeanor.
So what could possibly be the problem with Favre becoming a Raider in this pipe dream?
Favre has wafflled about whether he wants to play for each of the past few years. If he comes to the Raiders and finds it too strange for his liking, and a few losses pile up, he won’t be totally committed.
Not exactly what you want Russell to see on a day-by-day basis from a living legend.
Legends, by the way, often don’t make good mentors.
I’ve been told Favre never really went out of his way to be any kind of guiding light for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers was just a guy looking to take his job, much as Russell would be. Only Russell is infinitely more talented and more of a threat.
I’ve worked in the 49ers locker room and watched as Joe Montana, out with a bum arm, would say loud and clear with body language that he was revolted by the way Steve Young was going out of his way to chat up the media while he was the starting quarterback.
When Young was having issues with concussions, the normally friendly quarterback would walk off in a huff as Jeff Garcia was giving impromptu press conferences.
The best mentors aren’t necessarily star quarterbacks, but seasoned backups who have been through the mill and can verbalize what it is to struggle. Legends protect their turf, and it’s part of what makes them legends.
Favre is first-ballot Hall of Fame player, but for all but a few years of his career has been a guy who makes the inexlicable throw into traffic, someone who tries to make a play when it isn’t there, and often at the worst time.
That happens to be the one thing Lane Kiffin and Co. are working on with Russell at this time, hoping to first teach him to be safe and conservative before learning when to take chances.
Favre’s, `What the hell, I’ll take a shot,” approach isn’t necessarily what would be best for Russell at this point in his development.
Would Favre give the Raiders a couple of more wins this season? Probably.
But in the longterm development of both Russell and the franchise, six wins with Russell could be more beneficial than eight under Favre. It’s a more difficult call if you’re talking eight wins under Russell and 10 with Favre.
Regardless, in 2009, you’d be right back to where we are now _ with Favre zig-zagging on his desire to play, and Russell having lost a full season of expereince.

In it to win it with Russell, less than two weeks until camp…keep the posts coming Jerry!
July 14th, 2008 at 9:01 am
Why are we even talking about Favre??
July 14th, 2008 at 9:04 am
Jerry Mac…
one of your better articles… good speculation piece =)
July 14th, 2008 at 9:08 am
we’re talking about Favre because nothing else is going on, except for the absence of a deal for our best player. It’s wacky that we hear nothing from anybody regarding our “franchise” player.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Wow haven’t read Jerry’s post about Favre yet. But Chris Henry just had his charges dropped. Does this mean immediate reinstatement ? We have said we need another threat at Receiver. Hmmm.

Good post w/ regards to how Favre would not be a good fit for the Raiders. I don’t think he would want to come here anyway.
What I’ve found more interesting (and I wanted to see if anyone on here noticed it) is the vitirol spewed by Pack fans towards Favre. Jesus H. Christ you would think the guy was Randy Moss in Oak circa 2007 with all the crap being thrown his way. So he changed his mind big deal, I think bottom line is you were 1 drive from the SB last year and they have just as good a shot as anyone in the NFC to get there again w/ #4. And they want to put him behind Rodgers who may or not be good and who gets injured every time he takes the field? Its just crazy to me man, no respect.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:17 am
The point about Legends not being good mentors, is very true…
look at those who become Head Coaches, they are not the leaders of big teams (of course there are guys like Mike Singletary), but most often, really good college players, which physical abilities fell short in the big league and must settle for backup jobs… but those guys got all the way to the big league by preparing themselves, by whits and by all the x-factor stuff teams look at when a players isn’t a physical specimen…
Look at how many former QB backups has become HC’s and former TE’s (because they need to understand both run and pass game to the max)
But especially LB’s has upper hand in the game to become mentors and HC’s, because they are often leaders of the defensive , they need to know more about the Offense than other defensive players and so on….
Well. that is my opinion, anyway =)
July 14th, 2008 at 9:18 am
Favre ain’t mentoring anybody…
he said as much a couple of years ago regarding Aaron Rogers…
i believe his words were: “it ain’t my job”
let’s stick with Jam…
July 14th, 2008 at 9:19 am
SC Raider..I agree! But maybe the fans are tired of him not showing a commitment to the team and just doing what he wants when he wants to.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:21 am
Brett Favre please just go away. I am so sick of this guy. He he won 1 Super Bowl and people think he is God. Dude looks like he is about 50. Go back home to Mississippi please cuz everyone outside of Green Bay is tired of you.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:25 am
Jerry, as usual, you hit the nail on the head. You’re very consistent.
BTW, are you going to do guest writers this year? That was very interesting and ballsy on your part.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:33 am
Favre wants a SuperBowl ring and he obviously thinks the Vikings have a real shot next season. With the addition of Jared Allen, many ‘experts’ now believe the Vikes are realistic contenders. Their defense is excellent, their running game is very effective and the only obvious weakness is at…..Quarterback.
No one serious believes that Tarvaris Jackson is good enough and Booty isn’t ready. They need an experienced, charimatic, strong-armed QB. Step forward Brett Favre.
Quite rightly, the Pack are crying foul. Favre might not be the future at Green Bay, but they can’t allow him to be the present at Minnesota.
We don’t need him and he don’t want us.
I note with sadness that Jared Zabransky got cut by the Steelers. Looks like all those Boise heroics won’t be repeated at pro-level.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:39 am
Screw Favre. He should go to Atlanta and mentor their rookie. After all, that is the team that drafted Favre and then traded him to GB in the first place. What kind of message does it send to Russell if you bring him to Oakland? We don’t have faith in you.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:40 am
Scottish…the Packers are acting like a girlfriend who doesn’t put out but expects her man to be faithful ha ha
July 14th, 2008 at 9:43 am
You guys are all missing the point. Here’s an idea: think before you post. Or is that asking too much? Yeah, I thought so.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:44 am
Kool is this where we ask..”what’s the point”?
July 14th, 2008 at 9:46 am
What can GB do though? Some of the fans are saying bring him in and let him be back up. Yeah like that would be good for ROdgers, first pick he throws half the fans will be chanting for Favre. Their best scenario is to auction the pick to the highest bidder. Hopefully to Tampa or Baltimore so he can’t beat you in your division. If TT had the cojones he would call up Minnesota and ask for a 1st rounder and 3rd rounder (same price as Montanta in 1994) to see if they would bite . You know all these teams are going to hold them up just like we got held up for Randy b/c they knew the situation was untenable w/ the current team. I don’t see them getting better than a 3rd rounder.
As much as Favre meant to them they do not “owe him” his unconditional relase but they are either going to have to let him start (and go back on their word), move him for the best possible price, or convince him to retire (highly unlikely now). I DOn’t envy Ted Thompson.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:46 am
If you have to ask, you’ll never know.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:47 am
Enough about Favre–what’s going on with Asomugha’s contract???? That’s way more important to Oakland. Lock him up, Al!!!!!
July 14th, 2008 at 9:48 am
Good right up Jerry. I’m not interested in seeing Farve in a Raiders uniform. Let Russell earn his lumps in the upcoming seasons. I would rather see ‘Pepper back as a backup than to see Farve in Silver and Black.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:49 am
If I wanted to know what the point is, I wouldn’t ask somebody with a brain the size of a peanut.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:52 am
I wouldn’t ask you, either.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:53 am
The Packers taking Favre back is a bad idea for them too. The same concerns of us taking Favre apply to the Packers. It would be a bad idea for them to allow Favre to backup Rogers.
This is a no win situation for GB. Release him, he will certainly go to the Vikings. Keep him, rogers will bitch and it will set them back a few years if they can’t win the super bowl. Trade him and Rogers fails, then the GM is booted.
I’m glad our starting QB situation is settled for at least for the next 3 years.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:57 am
KoolKell…
why the hell are you so pissed these days? because its the last year with Nnamdi? or what? mellow up a bit, pweeeze =)
July 14th, 2008 at 9:58 am
Yeah Raidermight but the one difference between us and GB is they were one play from the superbowl last year and we were about one million away. I don’t want him here either and I’m glad we have Jammy. Amazingly Jammy has started more games (1) than Rogers (0) in the NFL. And he managed to get through a whole game uninjured which rogers has had difficulty doing.
They better have a lot of faith in Rogers to replace Favre with him b/c if he sucks or goes down Ted Thompson might not make it out of GB alive.
July 14th, 2008 at 9:58 am
gaah, i get goosebumps every time somebody suggests daunte to return to Oaktown…. God I hate that guy…
July 14th, 2008 at 10:01 am
Butt out, LMN. This is between CopenhagenFan and me. The cat’s had it in for me for awhile now, and I’m sick and tired of it.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:03 am
No worries, the Raiders will never sign Favre because they already have around $90 million invested in Russell and McFadden. Kiffin’s first year rumor has come full circle about weeding out the old vets that challange his authority, and thats exactly what Favre would do.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:05 am
Oh, look who’s back, Mr. I-love-Brett boy.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:07 am
“But what about the KIIIIDS?”
July 14th, 2008 at 10:08 am
KK your sounding like MR troll to me.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:11 am
KOOLKOOK come on man ha ha ha….
July 14th, 2008 at 10:12 am
Smile when you say that. Them’s fightin’ words.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:12 am
Rebel…
true, very true….it doesn’t sound like the real Koolkell… but then again, MR would say it was Oakglenn LOL =)
July 14th, 2008 at 10:13 am
I’d love for somebody to kick me butt…for all the bad things I’ve done this year

You forgot one.

July 14th, 2008 at 10:17 am
Scottish…Keller over Walter?
July 14th, 2008 at 10:19 am
Dakota,
AW is a bad fit and could/should be traded. Keller has more potential and, if he shines in camp, might do enough to stay off the Practice Squad.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:20 am
I noticed a signing that I have not seen previously reported on the Raiders team roster. Grayson Gunheim, DE.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:22 am
408–Nnamdi has the franchise tag on him and has to sign a one year tender. All indications are that he will be in camp next Thursday. Don’t see any holdouts this year, but Walker may not be ready. Heard tha JaMarcus really connected with Drew Carter at OTAs.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Johnny,
I like Madsen but there are two big problems. Firstly, he is still a poor blocker and that is what is most needed from our TEs. Secondly, there was no sign last year that either Kiff or Knapp really trusted him. He needs an exceptional camp to survive.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:22 am
Several more undrafted rookies are signed on the team roster.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:24 am
looks right on the money scottish, with the possable change from M. reese to C. Shilenz
July 14th, 2008 at 10:25 am
Gunheim is practice squad material - probably along with Schilens, Scott, Shields, Boone and Brown.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:26 am
Scottish…
LOL I did a list this morning =) same minds think alike, Ill check if we see the roster the same way…
While I did, mine I was all over Branch again, man I like that pick… I have hims as our KR too
July 14th, 2008 at 10:27 am
I think that we all need to rally outside the stadium to bring in Chris Henry! What do you guys think? :->
July 14th, 2008 at 10:28 am
C4, I just think Reece offers a bit more variety and is more ready to contribute than Schilens.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:31 am
This team has Kiffin’s stamp all over it when you can pull up the Raider roster and see only 2 players with double digit experience.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:31 am
I would bring in Chris Henry if Walker doesn’t come back near 100% and if we can get someone to babysit him the whole season.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:31 am
4life
I know but the jack were gonna give him as our franchise player could be better spent on a fatty signing bonus…. pluss I dont want to loose him next year!!!!!!
July 14th, 2008 at 10:39 am
How do I prove I’m the real KoolKell? Say that Al Davis is an egomaniac? (he is) Say that you’re a fool to worship him? (you are) Not that I give much of a damn what you punks think, anyway.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:41 am
Jerry must not have anything going to write such b.s. There is no way in hell that the Raiders have any interest in Farve. Don’t get me wrong, I respect Farve and believe that he should start over Rodgers and would be a big improvement in Minnesota. But the fit is wrong in Oakland. Why just make up speculation. You can do better Jerry!
July 14th, 2008 at 10:42 am
There is no way the Raiders would have more wins next year with Russell at QB instead of Farve. Impossible. I bet there is not one of you who actually believe the Raiders would be better off with Russell NEXT YEAR. I’m talking about the only thing that matters, wins and losses. The Raiders would easily win 10 games next year with Farve. With Russell, they will be lucky to win 6. You guys obviously don’t care about winning. Marley, I’m still waiting…
July 14th, 2008 at 10:46 am
you’re an idiot MR. Go away.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:50 am
Farve has 1 or 2 yrs left before the wheels fall off. The Raiders are building long term, not short. Stay with the plan. I was in Minnesota when they brought in a soon to be washed up Jim McMahon. Year 2 was painful to watch.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:58 am
408–I don’t wanna lose Nnamdi either. Shutdown corners are hard to come by so I say pay him whatever he wants and make him happy. I don’t wanna see them do to Nnamdi what they did to Woodson.
July 14th, 2008 at 10:58 am
Mr. Davis,
Please sign Chris Henry. The kid has learned his lesson and our Siberia will be a good place for this kid to refocus and develop into the star he can be.
He’s less of a risk with far mor potential than
Javon Walker. For those who don’t know the charges were
dropped and the suspension will be lifted soon.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3486258
July 14th, 2008 at 10:59 am
Get Chris Henry before the Titans do, please!!!!!!!!!!
July 14th, 2008 at 10:59 am
I’m talking 9 under Russell and 10 under Favre. Also, it will never happen, so there’s no point in discussing it. This goes beyond killing time, it’s becoming a complete waste of time based purely in stirring up controversy where there is none. QB is one of the few positions where there is no controversy. We know Russell will be the starter and if he gets injured we will have a bad year. If he stays healthy and the key elements around him stay healthy then this team has a very realistic wild card chance. It’s as simple as that, as much as I hate saying things like that…….
July 14th, 2008 at 11:04 am
What’s up guys. Just got here. Looks like Mo Ron chimed in on the Favre topic. I didn’t read it. I’m ignoring him. But you put it well, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. You showed him. Best post ever. LMN, I’m sorry I got a little testy yesterday. It’s just that when someone calls me MR, I lose it. You’re not a faqqot. We’re all Raider bros. Except for Mo Ron. He’s a Favre loving Ninver homo.
Anyhow, I don’t think we need Favre. We have Russell, and the vertical game is coming back. First we get rid of boy wonder Gruden the II, aka LAME Kiffin, then we’re back to stretching the field. We’re going to use McFadden as more of a run and shoot back, lining him up in the slot. None of this power I nonsense. Again, we’re back to playing Raider football. None of this boring, Kiffin Gruden stuff. If anybody doesn’t see our Super Bowl prospects, they’re not a real fan. It’s as simple as that. Or, maybe they’re just a little slow. I know there’s some of you that dont’ believe in Lofton. Well, let’s just say Mo Ron needs company at the bathhouse across the bay, losers.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:10 am
Are you talking about that lame three time afc west champion gruden led raiders or the greatness of Art Shell part 1, Joel Bugel, Mike White or Shannirat???
July 14th, 2008 at 11:17 am
I am surrounded by A-holes!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:19 am
Did you know that Dan Patrick’s real name is Dan Pugh?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Don’t talk about your family like that, Dakota.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:20 am
MoRon, don’t post as me.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:20 am
Silver and Black Chef, Mo Ron and the other whiner fans can use plenty of company at their bath house. Either that, or you can grab your pair and get with the winning team. Gruden is a lame boy wonder who takes credit for Al’s work. Just like Kiffin is. Good riddance to both of them. And to so called ‘fans’ like you, too. As long as you think Gruden was good.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:21 am
MoRon, don’t post as me!!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:23 am
You know, I’m getting tired of people bringing up Gruden in here like he was some kind of saint. The guy was a mo ron. Gruden wanted to stick with Jeff George. But Al Davis insisted on bringing in Gannon. Had things went Gruden’s way, we never would have had a winning team. Some of you idiots, like Silver and Black Chef, need to get your facts straight. Frankly, I’m tired of all this negative talk about our current team. I’m going to talk to Jerry about banning some of you. Just keep it up
July 14th, 2008 at 11:24 am
I wish you two fake Oakglenns would stop fighting! I am the only real Oakglenn!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:24 am
OK, post as me MoRon. Who cares? You’re a moron who’s here to make a mess as usual.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:25 am
MR why would you comment as OG??? why not keep it real and just be MR?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:25 am
Jerry, please ban Mistabrown for being dumb, please ban Marley for hurting my friend Madden Raider, please ban Madden Raider for being pathetic (he needs to get a life).
Please Jerry, clean up this Blog!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:26 am
You guys know who the real Oakglenn is blogging here. Hint: I’m the real fan. Not the one downing the current team and talking about how great Gruden was, like this idiot Silver and Black Chef, who’s probably MR posting under other names again. Like I said, keep it up. I’m talking to Jerry. I’m tired of trying to blog here at my blog and having to deal with all of these gruden lovers. this is a Raider blog. Go blog at the niner sites, a$$holes.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:26 am
I thought this was a good idea a few years back when the Raiders were god awful to watch, and clearly needed a leader. now it would be a really bad move. What the Raiders need is a leader: in the mold of a Gannon or even a Hosteteler. Jamarcus is now asserting himself into that role. Now that Warren is gone, burggess, and namdi spend so much time away from the team in the offseason: the man is Jamarcus. Fargas, Morrison, Carlisle, Cooper, and a few others play their roles as well. Brining in Farve would only take away from Jamarcus and it would ultimately be a bad move.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:27 am
I hate this blog, you have all turned into a bunch of whining 49er fans. It is like I am the king of a pile of turds.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:28 am
Because he’s a loser, 408. Don’t engage him. What did I tell you? Are you stupid? The more you guys engage him, the more he spews his crap. Shut up and let me handle it.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:29 am
George as Grudens Idea, Then if thats the case Gruden was thinking verticle all along and Davis wanted conservative,!? Ithink you got it wrong OakGlenn 1,2 and 3 or MoRon or your mothers broken diaprham or whatever your callin yourself, youd have been better off wiped on a hotel room curtain.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:30 am
Suck my toes you freaks!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:30 am
I agree, Dick V. We have a proven quarterback in J Russell. Hello? Anyone seen his highlight reels at LSU? Favre had a horrible year last year. Looked like Father Time. I’d rather take the proven QB, JaMarcus Russell. Al knows what he’s doing it. He’s not one of the winningest owners in NFL history for nothing. Let Al work his magic. We’re going to be back, baby.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:30 am
I like young men.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:31 am
Silver and Black, as I thought, you’re not a real fan. It’s common knowledge that Al Davis wanted Gruden. Bob Marley said so. You’re obviously a whiner fan. Go to a bathhouse and get pounded in your glory hole, Silver and Black Chef. You’re no Raider fan.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:31 am
okay this sucks, I think I’ll go watch some speedway..
July 14th, 2008 at 11:31 am
Around 50% of the fans polled in GB want Favre and his interceptions gone for good.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:31 am
But Alex Smith is going to emerge as the better number one QB. Niners are on the way up, Raiders will maybe win three games and Kiffin is gone. Go Niners!!!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:31 am
You myopian frogs all suck! Eat my shorts you no-good 49er fans!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:32 am

July 14th, 2008 at 11:34 am
WTF is wrong with this blog?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:35 am
for those of you who think that Gruden wanted Gannon; Get your facts straight. People who work for the team have already come in here and cleared this up for us. It was Davis who wanted Gannon. Davis liked Gannon for his veteran leadership and his ability to throw the deep ball. But it was Gruden who turned gannon into a west coast pus**ie, dinking and dunking. Boring offense. If Gruden would have stretched the field, we would have won the SB in 2000 and 2001. That’s why Gruden was worthless. We’ve been so much better off without him. Just look at the talent we’ve had since. Moss never would have come to Oakland if Gruden was here. players hate Gruden. This is oakland. We let the players breathe here. these men are professional. Let them shine. Gruden treats them like it’s drill camp. It wears on the players. Kiffin’s doing the same and that’s why he’ll be gone. We’re getting back to Raider football, baby! Anyone who can’t see it is a faq, like Silver and black chef.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:35 am
Jerry, fix this place before you lose all the decent commentors!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:36 am
408, if you wouldn’t be such an idiot and engage MR he wouldn’t keep coming back. I told you, ignore him!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:37 am
stop having conversations with yourself please
July 14th, 2008 at 11:38 am
Dakota, don’t worry. I’m talking to Jerry. I’m contacting him by phone this afternoon. We’re banning the trolls like MR for good. But in the meantime, you guys have to stop engaging him. It’s just making him post more. I’ll handle it. Why can’t you guys follow that one simple f’n rule? Jesus f’n Christ.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:38 am
To much of a good thing, i used to read the posts and rarely post but its getting difficult to read insight into our raiders when you have to scroll through nonsense from attention starved, bogger eating momma’s basement tenants!
July 14th, 2008 at 11:38 am
What u think jamarcus touchdown to int ratio’s gone look like?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:40 am
Bye, Mo Ron.
We don’t need Favre. We have a proven QB in Russell, who’e not some 90 year old geezer. We know Russell can play in today’s NFL. But, logic isn’t your forte, obviously. Being an Al hating homo is. Bye, Mo Ron. Go blog somewhere else.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:40 am
slightly positive?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:40 am
Tommy T. Since the draft was over, you’ve been pretty quiet. how’s it going? you haven’t given ny thoughts on the whole Javon drama. do you think he will rebound in time?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:44 am
Enough of the nonsense. Let’s talk football. I’m thinking if we avoid the injury bug, we’re 13-3. I looked at the schedule. This is easily possible. If we can stay helthy, and keep the franshise qb protected, we’re definitely looking at a Super Bowl run.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:44 am
Looks like another melt down from MoRon. I guess I broke his brain.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:45 am
Oaky, you’ve always been loyal to Andrew Walter. Changed your mind or do you still think he has a future in Silver & Black?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:46 am
You done yet Mo???? If the best you can do is come in here and post as me, that’s pretty sad. Isn’t there a Charger or Whiner blog you can go to??? Or maybe a self help site??? How’s about Neil Patrick Harris’ homepage?
July 14th, 2008 at 11:52 am
Sorry you guys about that. I think I really did break MoRons brain.
July 14th, 2008 at 11:53 am
Why respond to an idiot who can’t even spell McMahon.
MoRon.
Don’t respond, I’m out of here!
July 14th, 2008 at 12:03 pm
Very, very solid post, Jerry. Unusually tight, though typically well-reasoned.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
Honestly I would like to see farve for a 3 game trial service haa, and if he works we can pay for his services, if not we dont pay him nada…but we all know he’s going to be in GB next year.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:07 pm
ite no progress being made in this blogg right now check yall later….only progress was that MR. finally stopped posting, probably watching days of are lives with his 10 cats, in his 1982 montana jersey, eat bon bons.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:10 pm
While the thought of having b4 in the silver and black may spark intrigue lets not get carried way with our imaginations lol I really don’t think he would be a good fit for us while I like the old gunslinger when this guy is bad he’s horible and when he’s on he’s real good I just would hate to see him try and make throws because he’s brett farve and so he forces stuff and make horrible throws for example in the playoffs last year instead of being safe and going to the check down he threw into dbl coverage and game over I wouldn’t want russell learning how to loose by taking risky chances
July 14th, 2008 at 12:13 pm
I agree with tommytrojan, it’s an exercise in futility and a waste of time discussing Favre coming here, it ain’t gonna happen.
Jam is the future, Jam is the franchise, the Raiders have surrounded him with some talent, and they are going to go in that direction. Excellent points tho about Hall of Fame players being coaches or mentors.
Imagine Johnny Unitas as your QB coach or Barry Bonds as your hitting coach. The game comes so easy to some of these guys, it just does not translate. Same thing with Favre. Just not a match.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:20 pm
Hopefully Favre will go to Tampa and have to play the Raiders in the 2009 Superbowl where he can throw six interceptions to Hall and Aso.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
Tampa would most likely be the best fit for Brett. Gruden coached in Green Bay under Holmgren so he knows him well, and as I said a few days ago, Gruden has what 7 QB’s on the roster. Might as well go for 8.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:24 pm
Gruden is in the same situation in Tampa he was in right before he left Oakland, he must win now with a team getting older not younger or pack his bags for the next highest bidder.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:25 pm
It was just as stupid a few days ago. Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
I want Gruden.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Kiffin surrounding himself with good, veteran footbal minds, brilliant!
July 14th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
dang MR…
wasn’t it you who bitched about all the stupid moves Davis makes by bringing in old, washed up, retread, oldtimers???
why bother with a guy that’s got 1 or 2 good years (maybe) left in him???
what does that do for the current player roster, namely Russell???
and if you think Favre is going to help develop Russell… you are mistaken…
my statement:
bringing in Favre is good short-term and very bad long term…
there is a reason we’ve been 19-61…
and that was bringing in vets without regard to the future…
i like our team… let’s work with them…
July 14th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Favre has always taken chances, that’s one of things that makes him a great player, making something out of nothing. Favre has the rings and the records to prove how good he is and has been despite the ridiculous statements some continue to make against him. Favre has at least two years left in the tank.
What type of QB will JR be? Who really knows, but chances are he won’t be Favre caliber. I hope JR get’s to the Favre level but who really knows. I’d love to see Favre playing for the Raiders however, in my heart of hearts I know Favre wouldn’t come here.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:30 pm
Shut up Pete! Your name’s not Marley.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
come on people we already shelled out millions upon millions at the qb position, how much would it take to get farve in, considering all the other teams in needs of his services…..Farve would look great in silver in black yet its highly unlikely, if any one owner can pull it off it would be Al, odds 99 % not a raider.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
BIG AL’S GOON speaks the truth. The rest of you are retarded if you think otherwise. Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
okay… okay…
you gotta thing going with Marley…
hey, not that there’s anything wrong with that…
July 14th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
Ben R. is better than Favre having won a Superbowl so early. You think Favre is so wonderful yet he would have lost the Superbowl if it were not for kick returns. I’ll take Russell over Favre anyday. If Favre were so great he would have won multiple Superbowls. The most pathetic playoff game I have ever watch a quarterback play was when Favre threw 6 interceptions versus Dallas.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Thanks Pete. I appreciate your support. If you get a chance tell him I’m looking for him. Thanks again.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:42 pm
Johnny retard, you just outed yourself as the biggest retard in this place. Ben is better than Farve? Even Oakglenn wouldn’t make such a moronic statement. Nice job. Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:44 pm
Funny thing about Favre he wasn’t on too many teams radars coming out of Southern Miss. He had a great Senior Bowl which vaulted him up the ladder. Atlanta did a great job drafting him in the 2nd round, but Jerry Glanville thought the guy couldn’t play. So you never really know. I would be absolutely SHOCKED if Jamarcus did not have a Hall of Fame calibre career.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
Does anyone know why MoRon is still here??? Isn’t Days of Our Lives on right TV right now??
July 14th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
The Raiders have too many unresolved questions for a QB of Favre’s caliber. No proven WR. Curry and Walker stay injured and the rest are hopes. No proven RB that can stay healthy. Fargas can’t stay healthy, no-one can say for sure what Bush can do and D-mac is an unproven rookie. The O-line is mostly made up of young players with questionable talent if any. Burgess is the only proven D-linman the Raiders have and he can’t stay healthy. The two main linebackers are young and not strong against the run. We have on proven CB in Hall and one fan favorite in Aso who has had one good season since being drafted. Some fans want to make Aso out to be better than what he is. Aso is decent not elite. AL will let Aso walk and rightly so before we pay him a crazy contract.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
Oakglenn, aren’t you the idiot that continues to preach at nauseum that people should not respond to me? What makes you so special? Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:51 pm
A list of recognizable NFL veterans still unsigned includes: Quarterbacks Byron Leftwich and Daunte Culpepper; running backs Shaun Alexander, Kevin Jones and Ron Dayne; linebackers Takeo Spikes, Junior Seau and Jeremiah Trotter; defensive linemen Rod Coleman and Orpheus Roye; and defensive backs Chad Scott, Duane Starks and Mike Doss.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:52 pm
And to respond for Marley since you only bash him when he is not around. It is Mike Lombardi who is most responsible for the 19-61 record because he was the Senior Personnel Executive for 8 seasons that fielded all these pathetic players Kiffin is getting rid of. Its so fun crashing your pitty party over Gruden. Now Lombardi can’t even get a NFL job so he runs his mouth for CNN. Gruden gets the credit from you for building the Superbowl team, the one that Lombardi and Allen built that got crushed in the Superbowl, is another good one. Keep them coming.

July 14th, 2008 at 12:54 pm
If we had some talented to at least solid vets to surround Favre with he’d jump at the chance to play for the Raiders. Playing with a team full of question marks from the players all the way to the head coach is not appealing to a first ballot hall of fame QB with a few years left in the tank. The future? What is the future? The future is now.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Johnny Retard, you are a LIGHTWEIGHT. You can’t hold Marley’s jock. Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Guys, I told you to stop engaging MR. I swear to god, you guys have to be retarded or something. How many times do I have to tell you? Stop engaging him, and let me handle it! Keep this crap up, and I’m going to have some of you banned as well. I don’t want to. So dont force my hand. Blog about the Raiders only. Dont’ blog about Mo Ron. Don’t address him.
Now, let’s talk football. I’m serious about 13-3. Anyone who can’t see the potential for it is brainwashed by the press.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
him and steve smith would be crazy in carolina
July 14th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
You retards are all jokes. I’m going back to posting as Oakglenn until you all go away. 9ers, 9ers, 9ers, they are going to kick the Raiders a$$ in the first preseason game.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
13-3 would be really tough, yes are schedule is light but not to many second year qb’s go thirteen-3 especially with a defense that has yet to play together.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco 49ers, 9ers, 9ers, San Francisco 49ers
July 14th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
You tell him, Rebel. Lombardi was definitely at fault. I was going to say Grudung, but you hit it on the nail. Poor old Al did everything he could to keep Lombardi from ruining his team, but Lombardi just ran the place recklessly. Al davis even tried to fire Lombardi and he wouldn’t leave. The league made Al Davis keep Lombardi so I partly blame the league, too. But good post. Keep it up, Rebel. You’re a true asset. As for Mo Ron, bye!! Go to the bathhouse, Mo Ron!!! Go blog there, with the rest of the whiner fans. Get pounded till your sore, f’n loser. Real Raider fans get behind the Raiders. Mo Ron just has peopple get behind him, if you know what I mean.
July 14th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Oakglenn, practice what you preach. Don’t bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
mcfaddensgagon, 13-3 will be tough? Don’t be such a f’n pus*sy. Can’t you see our talent?
July 14th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
dis guys is a real character…MR. seriously your bi polar.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Ok guys, we are not in high school here, be respectful, share your opinions, share your knowledge, dont share your negativity, it’s not funny anymore, its really immature, and gives true bloggers reason to believe this website is not legit along with the people on it. You make us all look bad.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
We’ve been rebuilding through the draft for several years now which in itself has been horrible for me, I’m a reload guy. All this losing has been hard but that’s what young rebuilding teams do, loose. Now this year the Raiders are somewhat seasonsed as we will have very few rookies in key positions. True most of the players are still young but they now have some experience.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
i am not responding…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
I’m just looking foward to watchin Jamarcus progress game by game. And Lane Kiffen slowly opening the playbook, along with the field for young jamarcus.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Big time, mcfadden. Mo Ron’s a total loser. He blogs here about how great Gruden is when Gruden never built a good team in his life. But don’t engage him. I’ll handle it. I’m getting him banned permanently, and not to mention some of the people here that I warned not to engage him. So consider this your warning, mcfadden’s wagon. Oh, and we are going 13-3. Stop reading the papers. They’re against the Nation. Just get your info from Raiders.com. Then you’ll see the light.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
OakGlenn,
Speaking of getting facts straight look what I found on March 3rd!!!
# Oakglenn Says:
March 3rd, 2008 at 7:51 pm
Brown, NY didn’t blitz Brady. I think they ran 4 blitzes all game. That’s how they won.
And now you say they ran a ton of zone blitz’s, you are a mess!
# Oakglenn Says:
July 12th, 2008 at 2:25 pm
The funniest part about that Bob Marley is out of the 30-35% he blitzed how many of those were zone blitzes???? tons. Meaning, he dropped defensive linemen or petes and rushed other guys but JUST SENT A TOTAL OF FOUR. Is that really a blitz??? I guess technically yes, but he still only sent four or maybe five guys.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
i am still not responding…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
Screw kiffin, Mcfadden’s wagon. He’s gone. Oh, and we’ll open the playbook. Believe me, as soon as we get boy wonder II out of there, we’ll be using the entire field every play.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
And here is a breakdown of the first half I did on March 4th……4 blitz’s all game Oak?
Mistabrown Says:
March 4th, 2008 at 8:28 am
OakGlenn, you told me yesterday the NYG hardly blitzed the Pats in the SB. Well I have the game on DV-R and OakGlenn you are completely wrong as usual.
Here is just the first half VanillaGlenn….JUST THE FIRST HALF!
NE 1st possession - Safety blitz from our boy Gibril
NE 2nd possession - Corner blitz on a run play stuffed NE on 3-1, punt
NE 3rd possession - LB blitz - sack
NE 4th possession - Gibril Wilson saftey blitz - incompletion
Next play..
NE 4th possession - 3-13 LB blitz - completion
NE 4th possession - Safety & Lb blitz
VanillaGlenn, you’re a fraud and a joke. DO YOU WANT THE SECOND HALF OR SHOULD I STOP RIGHT THERE ?
July 14th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
this is not a response…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
I think are secondary is going to be the best in the league by far. Don’t play fantasy qbs against the raaayyydasss
July 14th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
i am non-responsive…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Bye, MistaClown. I’m talking to Jerry this afternoon and getting you and Mo Ron banned permanenlty. Nobody here is going to engage you guys because i made it clear to them that I’ll have them banned to if they talk to you. you guys are on borrowed time. so just post your stupid nonsense, loser. nobody’s paying attention to you, and nobody’s going to respond. and, btw, it’s common knowledge that the giants didn’t blitz. their DC said so. But don’t let facts get in the way of your al bashing, as*hole.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
OakGlenn,
Im guessing you wont be making any such ignorant comments after the next Super Bowl on this blog.
They got to Brady rushing 4 eh? I dont know what game you were watching OakGlenn and apparently you have no idea either.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
get the paddles !!!
clear…
thunk…
i am now responsive…
but still not responding…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
MistaClown, those numbers are all conjecture, made up by the press. Only whiner fan jerks like you would take it seriously. Now, I told you to leave because nobody here is responding to you or Mo Ron. I made that the new rule on this blog. So go blog somewhere else, like at ninerhomo.blogspot.com.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
Florida Pete, what up bro.
Things are looking good. Camp’s opening soon. I’m thinking 13-3, if we stay healthy.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
LMAO @ #169
OakGlenn, you are truly just a child!
Hey OakGlenn, if you had followed the Jason Giambi model you could have just came out and said “ok I messed up” and all would be forgotten but NO you had to take the Barry Bonds route and deny….deny……deny……deny!
Oak Ive owned you since March 4th and I dont even want too.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
i’d settle for 10-6…
super bowl baby…
you heard it here first…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Bye, MistaClown. Talking to Jerry this afternoon. You and Mo Ron are history, and so are a few people here that I clearly warned to stop engaging you guys. Go ahead, post your useless dribble. You’re on borrowed time, f’n d*ckhead.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
oh, #175 only looked like a response…
but it was only a partial…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
Florida Pete, I can see 10-6 if we suffer some injuries. But that’s a little bit pessimistic, dont’ you think? With the talent we have, 13 wins is certainly a real possibility. I think we match up with Indy and NE. We do on paper, that’s for sure. It’s just on Wonder Boy II to lead the horses. He’ll get a few weeks. If he fails, we’ve got a proven winner in Lofton to take over. I’m pretty confident.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
ok oakglenn and MR. are the same person today or what?
July 14th, 2008 at 1:16 pm
Lets see what else I found…

no, it is not !!!
July 14th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Gruden was doodley squat before Al gave him a great team.
Gruden is still doodley squat now that Dungy’s team is gone.
Don’t adjust, just dominate.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
I love the nice Soap this blog has turned to. Like the Jerry Springer show here.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Buffalo is trading up to take Matt Ryan eh Oak? lmao they did draft Trent Edwards the year before….oh well! Who needs to be accurate its just a blog right Oak ?
Oakglenn Says:
March 5th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Pass Rushing is not something you can teach. Either you can do it or you can’t. think about it. Bellichik and Parcells didn’t teach Lawrence Taylor. Julius Peppers, The freak, Leonard Little, Dwight Freeny were drafted as pass rushers and they haven’t disappointed in the pros. All that being said, we REALLY need pass rushers so Vernon Gholston or Derrick Harvey would be good choices, gholston most likely a good value at 4 overall.
Buffalo is looking to trade up to grab Matt Ryan if he is available. Do we trade #4 overall for what they are offering which is their 1+2nd rounders, #11 + #42 overall???? So we would have #11, #35 and #42 in the first 2 rounds. What sayest thou????
July 14th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
one niner fan, did it, turned a perfectly good, public website to sit and talk about something we all love the raiders, and one niner fan is trying to ruin it for us all.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Bye, MistaClown. Nobody’s responding to you. I’m tired of the nonsense here and I’m cleaning house. You and Mo Ron will be the first casualties. Second will be the few dear fans that I’ve warned to stop engaging you guys. Keep posting your dribble, on your way out the door.
Oh, and btw, it’s been proven that NY did not blitz in the Super Bowl. They’re modeling their defense after Al Davis/Rob Ryan. The defensive coordinator said so. So leave with your conjecture, faqqot.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
dogpile on raidermight !!!
that was not a response…
merely a suggestion…
July 14th, 2008 at 1:21 pm

mygod this blog has turned to silly putty, on that note i’ll shall shape a great statue of the oakland colisum, on monday nite opening game, yes the infield is still up, yes they’re trying to ban are partying before hand, yes the media hates us, yet this will all change the first week, when mcfadden runs for 115 2 touchdowns, and 6 receptions for 85 yards.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
Florida Pete, There is no football conversation going on. What do you want me to comment on? I’m out so don’t bother replying may not see if there is not a new blog entry before tomorrow.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
Bye, MR. You and MistaClown have about an hour left. Soon as I’m done blogging I’m calling the mods and you clowns are gone for good. I’m cleaning house. In the meantime, stop engaging them, everyone.
BTW, MistaClown,
When the Giants did blitz, Brady ate their lunch. So know your facts, douchebag.
But they didn’t blitz that much anyway. No more than Al Davis/Rob Ryan. They’re modeling themselves after us. The defensive coordinator basically lined out the exact same defense we use. It’s common knowledge. Learn something about the game, idiot.

Raidermight, I’m ready to talk football. I’m ignoring the trolls.
I’m thinking if we avoid the injury bug, we’re 13-3. We just need to keep “the franchise” healthy. We need Harris to step up. Al pulled off a genius move to get him. Now it’s on Harris to perform.

Gruden’s face has become one big freckle.
At least Callahan/Trestman had descended testicles.
Bother responding.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Ahhhh, it seems that Circus Vargas is still in town.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Good to see MR and MistaClown fighting with each other now, btw. They’ll both be gone. It’s kind of like how we let, you now, certain people in society fight each other? Let them kill each other off. But we won’t go there. Anyhow, 13-3 if we keep THE FRANCH healthy. Tha’ts my call. Screw the media haters.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
Ha ha, great post, Bo. Best post of the day, by far. Gruden is gru DUNG. He wins with Al Davis’s players here, and Dungy’s players in Tampa. He also ruined both teams. He’s a parasite. I’m surprised he’s in the league. Same goes for Lame Wonderboy Kiffin. Thank god we have Lofton and the great Mr. Davis.

This song gets my fired up. I bump it in the parking lot before every game. I can’t wait for the season! I just know it’s going to happen this year! 13-3!!:

Brown, NY didn’t blitz Brady. I think they ran 4 blitzes all game. That’s how they won.

July 14th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
I think the Titans or Jaguars will go after Chris Henry, hopefuly he’s smarter and decides to get away from the east coast. I know a lot of teams will give this kid another shot?
July 14th, 2008 at 1:38 pm
Clown, nobody’s responding to you. Bye. Bye.
And, btw, when the Giants did blitz in that game Brady torched them. Brady owned the Giants. The press just twists things up for their own logic. A real Raider fan knows never to take the press seriously, even their imperial data. it’s all desinged to spin. you’re brainless.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
Bye, MR. Nobody’s repsonding to you.
BTW, didn’t you say it was Gruden who wanted Gannon? Ha ha. Proved wrong again. It was Al davis who wanted him. Bob Marley said so. You got Marley’d, fool. Again! You don’t know anything about football. Yet, you continue to blog here and we just ignore you because you’re worthless idiot. f’n loser. F’k you!
July 14th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
For someone to get their jollies by posting as someone else all day is pretty pathetic, don’t you think Stooltroll? How do you look yourself in the mirror?
Any other Raider blogs out there, I’m tired of this
July 14th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
and looks like mistaclown is not far behind.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:43 pm
I agree, Chargerschoke. Henry needs to avoid the thug life. Just hang around well to do players. Not those hip hopper types. They’re trouble. He needs to listen to some good ol rock and roll, to keep him out of trouble. Like this. I bump this before games a lot:

Bye, MR. Nobody’s responding to you. I don’t know why you keep blogging here when nobody’s going to reply to your conjecture and nonsense.
And, btw, if you think Gruden wanted Gannon, tell me this much: Why would Gruden want Gannon when it’s obvious Gruden wanted Jeff George? Gruden likes young quarterbacks and Jeff George was young when we signed Gannon. It was Al Davis who pushed for Gannon. Then Gruden turned him into a WCO faqqot, like you. Know your facts, butt rammer.

Funny how fragile the human mind really is.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:45 pm

July 14th, 2008 at 1:50 pm
Oh no I just read that the donks Brandon Marshall could get suspended, that’s great, but then rat face might go after Chris Henry!!!!!!!!!! Stop the rat faced donkey Mr. Davis!!!!!!!!!!1
July 14th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
thats freaking great ufck the donkeys
July 14th, 2008 at 1:52 pm
What a mess. Sorry you guys again. He’s obviously completely lost his mind. None of these posts are mine.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
The trolls are out today.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:53 pm
We’ll beat the donkos with or without Marshall. Where’s your guys’ faith? Pus*sies.
July 14th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
You nailed it, 408. But the trolls like MR and Clown are gone. I’m calling Jerry in 3 minutes. Soon as I’m done blogging. I just need the rest of you jackoffs not to respond to him. The more you respond to him, the more he posts. He’ll just go away if you idiots stop mentionning his name. Let me handle him. I’m going to crush this son of a bitch! Just give me a f’n chance! God dammit! Fu*k this stupid bulls’t, man! This is all a complete joke. What the hell happened to me. 10 years ago, I had goals. She’s just one girl. There’s so many in the sea. Years go by, years go by. You give up. You isolate yourself, because of one love gone bad. You pass up so many beautiful things. Then before you know it, you’re on a blog all day, talking about some stupid meaningless sport that’s been going downhill for over a decade, is almost entirely fixed, and is barely even competitive anymore. IT’s like debating a f’n soap opera. F’k all of us. God help us.
But anway, NY did not blitz, Clown. They run the 4-3 two man under, just like us. Learn something about the game before opening your stupid f’n mouth.

What exaclty do you mean the “farve level”. Last time i checked he has the stats and is a “great” qb no doubt. but the guy won 1 SB. Based on that nothing else really matters not even the stats f the stats how many SB’s did he win. I will bet when it is said and done JR will win at least 2.
IMO he is ranked below the QB’s that won multiples, the below list is not in any particular order.
Bradshaw
Montana
Brady
Griese
Aikman
Elway
Also note I dont want to here he did not have the talent argument futile IMHO.
Bottom line F@<K farve as he is not nor will he be a member of the NATION!!!
