Al Davis probably cant type because he is old and most likely has arthritis.
The only explanation for what has been going on in here the last week or so is that the MOD is our troll.
We have all gone over this and there is no other explanation.

This place is fun and many times informative especially during the season with game breakdowns by a handful of great posters.
At least we dont have to sift through siezure inducing avatars and sigs the size of tennis balls.
It would not be the same without the Al haters and I dont advocate silencing anyone including MR.
However, trolls disrupting the room by posting as regs goes to far and needs to stop.
Surely we can all agree upon that?

I just checked out Jason Jones’ blog at the Sac Bee. Some familiar names are over there in the comments section, now bitching at Jason Jones for being a “sheep”. LOL. This is unreal! They’re like a band of dead heads who go from blog to blog to corner the comments sections by flooding them with comments either defending Al, or just boring x’s and o’s talk to distract from the story at hand. I used to think they were just losers with nothing to do, looking for a place to chat football. But come on, I should have known. There’s plenty of message boards for that. These guys are out doing damage control. No wonder their complaints to Jerry fall on deaf ears. He knows what they’re up to.

The Carolina Panthers announced today that they have released defensive tackle Ian Scott, the latest setback for a player who just a few years ago looked like one of the best young defensive linemen in football.
“He did everything right. He was a kid we liked and it was very unfortunate,” coach John Fox said. “The way it worked out there’s a chance when he gets healthy that we can bring him back later in the season. We felt like we dealt with him fairly and he did a fantastic job for us.”
With the Bears in 2005, Scott was a starter on the best defense in the NFL. But he lost his starting job in 2006 and was out of Chicago after the season. Last year he signed with the Eagles but was put on injured reserve before the season, and this year Scott suffered a knee injury early in training camp. Steve Reed of CarolinaGrowl.com reports that the Panthers reached an injury settlement with Scott, and because of that settlement, can’t re-sign him until after the ninth game of the season.
The Panthers will start Maake Kemoeatu and Damione Lewis at defensive tackle, with Darwin Walker as the third man in the rotation and rookie Nick Hayden as the No. 4.
The team signed undrafted rookie wide receiver Sean Bailey to fill Scott’s roster spot.

Jerry answered my Seth Wand question… Seth is a ZBS guy from Houston who is smallish, good run blocker, dubious on pass. If we never see him play it will be OK with me.
Couldn’t we sign at least ONE OT who is a proven pass blocker, at least for depth?? Is a ZBS OT by default gonna be too small to be a dominant pass blocker?

If pass-blocking is an issue, and let’s face it, it probably will rear it’s ugly face from time-to-time, than having to use RB’s and TE’s to chip and help really limits or offense, because RB’s and TE’s are probably our biggest play-makers in the passing game.

I have read the ‘get Boldin’ posts with interest but I just can’t see it happening. For a start, we can’t afford it. Even if we could find the cash for Boldin’s contract, we would have to give up at least a 2nd round pick, plus a talent (Michael Bush?) - and I just don’t think we can or will trade so high.
The only scenario that I can envisage could lead to a Boldin trade would be if Walker ‘retired’ and walked away from his guaranteed monies. And, thanks to Al’s persuasion, I can’t see that happening…
…unless Walker bombs out against the Cards at the weekend and gets serious abuse from the Raider fans. That public ‘rejection’ could push him over the edge.

The Pittsburg model with Big Ben is not necessarily a good analogy as Jerry pointed out. Because Pittsburg gave up only 3.6 yds per carry that year. Their defense held it down, so that Ben didn’t have to throw.

I have been a Raiders fan since the 1970’s, grew watching them since I was a kid. I have the utmost respect for the Raiders organization, and AL Davis. It kills me to see the team that I have spent most of my life following and rooting for to be in such a mess. Since we got out backs broken in the Super Bowl, we have not been the same team. Who is to blame?
How does it get fixed? When will it get fixed? I continue to root for the Raiders, and I still get excited when they win, and hold out hope that this is the year the Raiders are back on top of the standings.
But I have my doubts.
