Regulars taking a knee
By Jerry McDonald - NFL Writer
Wednesday, August 27th, 2008 at 3:45 pm in Oakland Raiders.
Quick hits from Wednesday’s practice and media session the day before the Raiders travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in the exhibition finale:
– You won’t know the names without a program, and some of them will leave you scratching your head even with a program.
Coach Lane Kiffin plans on sitting the entire first-team offense _ including quarterback JaMarcus Russell _ and will also sit plenty of first-team defensive players in Seattle.
“This roster can’t afford any more injuries right now,” Kiffin said. “We’ve got enough things that we’ve got to figure out at the end of the 53-man roster. To lose somebody else, I just don’t see the value of putting these guys out there.”
At least he’s honest. The NFL will recoil _ it likes to further the myth that these full-price jokes are preseason “games” and not “exhibitions.”
– The Raiders signed linebacker Shane Simmons to play because Robert Thomas is out with a knee injury of undetermined severity. Simmons was living in Seattle, and now his family can watch him play at home.
– With Nnamdi Asomugha, Hiram Eugene and Rashad Baker out, and Michael Huff, DeAngelo Hall and Gibril Wilson likely to sit or play only a series or two, it will be along night for the likes of Chris Johnson, Michael Waddell and new acquisitions Marviel Underwood and Nate Lyles.
Underwood and Lyles, Raiders for all of two days, may even start.
– Defensive end Trevor Scott, the sixth-round pick from Buffalo, is on the bubble. The Raiders used him against the Arizona first team in place of Kalimba Edwards, with Edwards acknowledging he could have done better.
Scott had done some good things playing against Raiders reserves and the reserves of the Tennessee Titans and 49ers.
“He kind of disappeared out there in the first half and you didn’t see much of him because he was going against their starters,” Kiffin said. “So, it’s a good thing to see guys so you don’t fall into the evaluation of one guy looking so good just because he’s going against the backups all the time.”
– Johnnie Lee Higgins will return kickoffs and punts, giving way to Louis Rankin on kickoffs and Michael Waddell on punts. Higgins is also competing to be the Raiders third wide receiver behind starters Javon Walker and Ronald Curry now that Drew Carter is out for the season.
Higgins will make the team, meaning the two more spots will likely be contested between Todd Watkins, draft picks Arman Shields and Chaz Schilens, plus Chris McFoy and Jonathan Holland.
Shields practiced for the second consecutive day and is trying to make up for lost time.
“Every guy after Johnnie Lee is practice-squad eligible,” Kiffin said. “So, you have to figure which guys are going to make it, does someone else come in from the outside to make it and then, also, which guys will be on the practice squad. So, those guys will get a lot of opportunities
in this game.”
– Watkins will resist the urge to place a huge emphasis on the final preseason game as a make or break proposition after being one of the most pleasant surprises of camp.
“I can’t do that because then you’ll freeze up. You have to play relaxed,” Watkins said. “You have to go out there and know the game plan and play within yourself. That’s what coach always says, play within yourself. If you go out there and try to do a million things, bad things can happen.”
– John Wade will start at center if as Jake Grove will rest with the rest of the first string offensive line. Wade will not play any guard because because “the center-quarterback exchange” is too important, Kiffin said.
– Fred Wakefield will play on the defensive line in the first half and on the offensive line in the second.
None of the starting defensive line _ Derrick Burgess, Tommy Kelly, Gerard Warren or Jay Richardson _ is going to play. Kiffin said Terdell Sands won’t play for long.
That means Wakefield is needed, particularly after Greg Spires was released to get to the 75-man limit.
– The Raiders will get a long look at Marcel Reece, a former tight end who was converted to fullback. Reece could end up being considered for the practice squad.
– Thanks to all who participated in the on-line chat between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. All questions were screened before they got to me so it would be presented in a question-answer-question-answer format rather than a flood of questions with the occasional answer.
Still to be determined will be the day and time for on-line chats during the regular season.

3 - 13.
The reality is Kiffin’s overall gameplan is simple. Run the ball, milk the clock, limit turnovers, and hope to make it respectable in the end. Essentially, RUN OUT THE CLOCK. It is the EXACT gameplan that college and high school coaches have been using all over the country for years, whenever faced with a SUPERIOR opponent. Kiffin isn’t playing to win, he is just trying to keep it close. I don’t blame him. It’s the smart thing for him to do. Unfortunately, Russell’s maturation process will be also be SLOWED DOWN.
If you are going to go 3 - 13, why not let Russell throw it around a little, more repetions, let him make his mistakles, so he can get learn and get better? I can’t help but wishing Kiffin had let him get his feet wet more last year - in all those games that didn’t matter. In retrospect, that might have been the right move for the franchise, instead of worring about Russell’s fragile confidence. Do you ever notice Kiffin is always talking about some Raider’s shaken confidence? Maybe it wasn’t Russell’s confidence he was worried about.
I like Lane but I don’t think he spends a great deal of time concerning himself with the big picture for the Raiders. He is simply RUNNING OUT THE CLOCK. You can thank Al for that.
3 - 13.

REPOST
3-13
The problem with these predictions of league-wide performance is that they are generally based on the prior year and don’t take individual match-ups into consideration.
For example, they don’t sit with a schedule and predict a winner for each game to derive a standings. In fact, often times the results they predict are mathmatically impossible.
Bottom line? Who cares?
If the Raiders sweep the Chefs and split with Denver they have 3 already. They match-up well with several of their opponents.
San Diego is losing guys left and right and LT can only hold up so long.
MR - Kiffin isn’t just following the high school mantra he is following the mantra that made Cowher consistently successful and keeps teams like Baltimore and Tenn and Jax competitive every year. BTW - IT’S THE RAIDER WAY. Madden and Flores ran and ran and ran. Stabler had 12 pass attempts in the Super Bowl. Stabler’s season long that year was a 46 yard “bomb”.
Kiffin and the offense won TOP and produced TEN 4th quarter leads! If he had a defense like Pitt or Balt or Tenn last year we go 8-8 easy.
Having Russell wing it because fans are bored of the running game is the definition of a sheep leading. Kiffin needs to do it his way - the smart way. The RAIDER way.

thank you kk for being positive. where has this attitude been for the past summer?

Agree completely. I f Kiffin were inclined to open it up more he does so knowing he’ll be fired soon after. Hard to expect a coach to look long term given the owner’s attitude. The scholarship D already screwed him up last year.

August 27th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
Reversal on Bush?
If you’re referring to Bush taking some reps at FB - puleeeease. Kiffin needed someone to take some reps until the new guy got there. It was meaningless outside this blog.
I swear Jerry mentioned Lofton threw some passes in practice and I’m surprised a Tui vs. Lofton debate didn’t start.

Putting Bush in at FB forced AD’s hand and he picked 1 up. Good move by Kiffin and he did it in a way that AD could approve of this time. Did not go to the press.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:14 pm
Dick V,
Run, run, run, keywords “circumstances permitting”
You will need other tools in the bag when circumstances do not permit it. That part of the game must be developed also.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:16 pm
4 eva wher u @ bro…
August 27th, 2008 at 4:17 pm
COW, Im not so sure. Kiffin did mention making Bush a short-yardage back earlier in camp. I don’t know the man personally, all I know, so far, is his play-calling.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Dell,
hells bells
August 27th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Dick V
Yep. Last year the only time circumstances didn’t permit was after the D blew leads late in the 4th quarter and everyone expected McCown to morph into Stabler.
BTW all. Judging from Jerry’s reports on 2-min drills in camp and what we’ve seen in preseason, better pray we don’t get in that situation. Russell and the WR’ss clearly aren’t there yet.
Stop worrying pass-a-holics! JR will get his play-action reps.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Looking at the positive side of things, it will be informative to see our 2nd and 3rd stringers playing against better competition. We may find a couple of gems before it’s all over.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:20 pm
I want to see what these kids got at wr. Kiffn drafted JLH, and he can’t seem to remember he routes, and Al drafted Arman Shields, he can’t stay on the field long enough to be evaluated. Watkins looks all right. Holland and Schillens have shown some flashes. I don’t think more receiver help is coming; although, the Giants have me intrigued wih their final 53 cuz they have a few prospects that will get cut: Amani toomer, plax, steve smith are seeemingly locks to make the team leaving Hixon, Manning ham, david tyree battling for the 4th spot along with Sinorice moss. I can see them telling toomer to retire or get cut, but that will still leave a solid prospect out. The raiders could use any of them.

That’s just the problem, Dick. This is the NFL. Circumstances don’t allow it ALL THE TIME.
If a team doesn’t have a realistic chance of picking up 3rd and long on a regular basis, that team is not going to be very competitive. PERIOD.
What happens if the Raiders are done by 2 touchdowns? I’ll tell you what, draws and screens. Draws and screens.
Why not have a BALANCED offense? We don’t have the personel is a poor excuse.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
KK - He mentioned that again when he said Bush was a tailback. Bush is Kiffin’s shortyardage tailback. Not a FB.
Kiffin uses a lead blocking FB on short yardage. The HB Bush carries.

August 27th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
MR the idea as we saw last year is to limit turnovers and play D so you don’t go down by 2 TD’s.
In your comments about “shortening the game” you hit upon it. You limit possessions and don’t get into a shootout you can’t win.
Remember it isn’t all about Russell. Kiffin has repeatedly said Russell needs the tools around him to make him successful. We don’t have the tools at OT or WR.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:27 pm
What song is that Wiz?
August 27th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
Cow,
Maybe we should have taken Brady Quinn. Al Davis, Lane Kiffin, JaMarcus Russell, not a good fit.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:28 pm
When good teams take a sack or get a penalty, the drive is not over. With the current Raider offense, we might as well just punt on 3rd down.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:30 pm

The passiong game has too many new people to have any cohesion. The defense has been together for years save some added talent that are instant upgrades over their predeccesors. The run game was built last year. The passing game is all new with a brand new signal caller.
They need time to develop. KK its way too early to know what we have there.
I have been impressed by what I saw out of Russell. He has poise in the pocket, he doesn’t seem to get too flustered, and he has some moxy. He makes the right reads, and has been making the right throws. The cards brought the house and JR stood tall and seeed up to the challenge. There is a lot of potential for this unit. Al’s spending spree has added two players that will allow this unit to reach new heights.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
Actually, my draft was trade down to 3 with Cleveland take A Peterson, Z Miller, and Trent Edwards with the Moses pick.
Would’ve had the best RB, TE, and QB of that rookie class to date. But I didn’t know what I was talking about.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
How can you go into a season unprepared for 3rd and long?
How can someone figure to play a game, let alone a season with manageable down & distance at all times?
How can someone figure they’ll never be behind in the NFL?

MR
I would rather JRuss dump off for a four yard gain than force the ball into heavy coverage for an int., inc., or get sacked. We saw what happened Saturday night when Kiffen opted to “air it out”.
The hardest thing for a rookie quarterback to learn is to know when to hold and know when to fold. Discretion is the better part of valor when it comes to managing an offense vs. trying to earn a spot on the weekly highlight reel.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:34 pm
COW, C’mon you’re better than that. Good teams are built to come back when they are down. You need a plan B. It’s called an adjustment.
The plan of not getting down 14 in the first place is not a PLAN. That’s just wishful thinking.

Brady Quinn over Jamarcus. The dude was maybe not even the best player on the board at no. 22. say maybe would should have drafted Joe thomas, peterson, or calvin johnson, but lets not just blurt out Quinn unless you qaulify it.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
KK and MR -
Who says they aren’t prepared for 3rd and long? They have play packages for those situations. Yeesh. If Kiffin doesn’t have Russell pass 40 times a game they should punt on 3rd and long? You must not think much of Russell.
FACT: You are less likely to be way behind or in 3rd and long by running the ball.
- No sacks, fewer holds, fewer false starts, fewer turnovers.
The run heavy offense means what? It means a ratio of MAYBE 60-40. It’s not like they’ll never pass.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
Dakota whats up man…you never did get back to me with that scoop last night on Terry Glenn.
Any news?
August 27th, 2008 at 4:39 pm
People talk about the Pittsburg model. But Big Ben had a good relationship with that Hines feller, and a defense that gave up 3 yds per carry.
That is not the Raiders
August 27th, 2008 at 4:40 pm
Marv Hubbard, You are missing the point. Russell wouldn’t be a rookie if Kiffin would have done the sensible thing last year and let him take his licks. Oh, that’s right we don’t want to shake the kid’s confidence. See post #5.

I have been reading the posts. The pre-season games have been letting me down. I want to write something positive I just haven’t had anything nice to say. The injury to OO killed me. I really was relying on the run game to pull us through and now I dont know…
August 27th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
They ran last year, heavily, and scored FG’s, after a 8 min drive.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Only players I’ll be interested in watching: MBush, Branch if the cast comes off, Arman Shields and JLHs.
Some of you crybabies still think these games are important? All you can do is get a feel for the team these games and the feel the Raiders gave was the defense can be dominant (the 1st team dominated every game); the run defense has improved; the offense is in good hands with JR; and are better in the run game and better in the pass game.
We’ll have to see how that plays out on Sundays.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:42 pm
Trent edwards is injury prone. he is hurt right now. I put him in my drew carter category of being too fragile for this game. but you are entilted to your opinion.

No team is BUILT to come from behind. No GM/Coach/owners sit down and say, “Okay, we need to build a team that can come from behind.”
In fact if the Raider were down two TDs in the 3rd quarter they would be stupid to abandon the run. That is one of the biggest mistakes coaches make. Step up the tempo but keep mixing it up or the D will be Ting off on you.
Our biggest win? Miami - 12 pass attempts. I’ll take it.

August 27th, 2008 at 4:51 pm
And when you can’t stop the run, those “shortened games” make the ability to score TD’s all the more important. As the Raiders found out last year.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
MR is right, that’s not a plan, but wishful thinking.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
Wow, El Dirty Sanchezo that is some confession.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
KK - Thank you!
Our run D and defense in general is the problem. Not Kiffin calling running plays.
The proof is in the results people. With Jordan / McCown / Sims etc… Kiffin’s offense posted TEN 4th quarter leads and won TOP! It isn’t going to get much better than that. Change a couple FGs into TDs sure…but the Defense will be what wins or loses it for us.
“Teams score on the Raiders when they need to,” Jerry quoyed it last year and it was true.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
Our biggest win? Miami - 12 pass attempts. I’ll take it.

Hey man how you been? Still stirring the pot I see? Hey bud do me a favor… defend my moniker k, thanks
August 27th, 2008 at 4:58 pm
COW
Agreed. The D is going to have to hold the scoring down for us to be successful with the “current” offense. And JaMarcus is going to have to make a few plays outside the pocket at critical times.
August 27th, 2008 at 4:59 pm
One thing I do notice about Russell is his ability to improvise on the run and throw deep at the same time, while having presence in the pocket to avoid the rush. Gannon and McCown could not throw accurately deep and Collins was not mobile and never saw a blind side rush coming. Walters has the same problem as Collins, Brooks had none of the above.

Mix all in a large jelly jar, and turn on the RAIDER game.
Pricless!
August 27th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
Ok How many times last year were behind by more than a TD in the 4th quarter?
As I’ve said we led in TEN 4th quarters. So, how many times did we trail by two scores so late that we had to abandon the run?
Please justify the panic.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
You guys forget that Sapp is no longer on scholarship as Kiffin predicted last year. The run D will be better now that he is gone.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:02 pm

Jebus Wiz I thought I was bad..
August 27th, 2008 at 5:03 pm
We lost alot of close games because the opposition ran the clock out.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:04 pm
This “game” is going to be a complete joke.
– Fred Wakefield will play on the defensive line in the first half and on the offensive line in the second.
Wow. I can’t wait to see this, seriously…. This is going to be interesting.
My money is on Schilens and Watkins making the roster as the #4 and #5 respectively. Of course, if we’re going with only 2 QBs and only 3 RBs then it’s completely within reason to allow 6 WRs and admit Shields as well. I would personally prefer Shields to Watkins because, while Watkins has looks good, I believe we have good idea of what we have in Watkins and I want to see what we have in Shields. However, like I said, if we don’t sign a veteran, we could easily justify keeping them all.

We were lucky Marty Shottheimer wasn’t in the league, because he most certainly would have run up the score on us.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Sith Lord Davis;I agree Jmac can improvise and has the arm 2 bail us out at the same time
August 27th, 2008 at 5:05 pm
Dick V’s post #61 is right. This passing offense has some quality players, starting with the QB, they just haven’t played together. Shoot the center and QB haven’t played together more or less the linemen, receivers, backs, and subs.
In reality tho fellas, there are not a lot of plays for 3rd and 20 in an NFL playbook.

Simply the best Raider fans are lucky to have you.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:11 pm
COW,
I have no choice but to give Kiffins assesment the benefit of the doubt. The Big Stat is the W-L stat. 4th quater leads mean nothing. The Raiders lost consistenly the same way last year. Could not score, could not stop the run.
So far, I haven’t seen much difference.

This years Raiders slogan will be: “Nothin’ but runnin’” By both the Raiders and their opponents. Raiders will run a lot and won’t stop their opponents running game. The games will be mercifully short and the turf will be totally torn up at games end.
After about a dozen games worth of handing off and dinkin’ and dunkin’ Jamarcus will get totally frustrated. In the Raiders 13th game, on a 2nd and nine from their own 30, Jamarcus will fade back and throw the football as far as he can. It will hit the goal post crossbar. The entire Coliseum will fall silent. A huge grin will appear on JR’s face. Kiffin will pull Jamarcus from he game and insert Tui, who on 3rd and nine will run a draw play that gains seven yards. the Raiders will then punt the football.
August 27th, 2008 at 5:18 pm
Lechler is not hurt. Kiffin is just resting him. He is going to need it. Kiffin knows that once again, Lechler will be the Raider’s greatest offensive weapon this season.

August 27th, 2008 at 5:32 pm
I could agree with the slow approach to developing Russell, I see the logic. But with a one-dimensional offense and a mediocre run defense, you’re only going to win 8 games tops.
And If he doesn’t, he’s gone. Cable is not under contract next year, and we’re back at square one.

August 27th, 2008 at 5:55 pm
So how exactly does sitting all of the regulars get us ready for the opener with the Broncos? Oh, that’s right, we were so good in our last game that we’re totally ready to roll!
August 27th, 2008 at 5:57 pm
dammit the oline is such a concern……. on one side you got another bust playing next to another bust and you have a trash journeyman right tackle playing next to an above average right guard…..to top it off we got a soft ass so called revitalized strength center who has showed nothing in his career……….my god hopefully the schemes will be conducive to winning all year
August 27th, 2008 at 5:57 pm

A.S. how much you wanna bet the Raiders are in top 20 in run defense
August 27th, 2008 at 6:08 pm

August 27th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
How is cornell green starting………i give a damn about McQ not liking the right side……he aint playing on the left so he might as well get PT
August 27th, 2008 at 6:11 pm
Our schedule got tougher since it came out. The Phins got Pennington, a huge upgrade over their other trash. And the Jets got Farve. The Raiders will now be underdogs in both games. Not to mention Cutler being 100%. Face it nation, we will be lucky to win 3 games.
August 27th, 2008 at 6:12 pm
trust me when we play buffalo all of the oline problems will come to a head
August 27th, 2008 at 6:15 pm
Brien, How much you got? The Raider’s defense can’t stop the run, they can’t get after the passer, and they are undersized and will wear down in the fourth quarter.
August 27th, 2008 at 6:17 pm
pennington=LOL he sucks terribly I’m sorry the no gun he presents will get us at least 2-3 picks…………Favre oh my god this will blow up in the jets face…..i cant wait until that game MR. Cutler? Oh my god the broncos are a pass team first now you know……..3 games? totally disagree A.S.
August 27th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
A.S. one of them how that sound?
August 27th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
undersized? how is that? burgess is now undersized and we dont have a true mlb……..but we are speed based defense……..Sands will be the starter before its over buddy
August 27th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
Brien, okay the Phins suck .We should win that game. But The Jets and the Broncos have more talent on both sides off the ball. We have no chance in against either team.
Brien you seem to know alot about the offensive line, what do you think the Jet’s NEW line is going to do to The Raiders?
August 27th, 2008 at 6:24 pm

August 27th, 2008 at 6:30 pm
Mr says:
“The reality is Kiffin’s overall gameplan is simple. Run the ball, milk the clock, limit turnovers, and hope to make it respectable in the end.”
Yes it’s simple but there are good reasons for it.
1) The OL can’t pass block. Period. You aren’t going to let JR sit back there like a sitting duck 30 times a game. It’s not going to happen.
2) No talent at the WR position. Just who exactly is JR supposed be throwing the ball to? Do you really think Walker scares anyone? Curry is a decent possession WR but that’s it. Everyone else would be lucky to make a practice squad on other teams.
3) The D still can’t stop the run. So this O has to eat up the clock just to keep the D fresh.
You want to blame someone for this simplistic game plan then blame Davis. He’s the one that picks all the players and makes all the off season moves.

Thec I ask for greenbacks all day alot are scared to make the bet
August 27th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
mr the broncos have the youngest offense in the leagueand their defense is worse than ours across the board. we have better dline, lbs, and db. their o line lost both lepsis and nalen and they have two book end tackles with one year of nfl experience between them. Dmac, fargas and bush are better than Andre hall, and selvin young two undrafted fa. B marshall is good, but … Tony scheffler vs zach miller are a wash worse case scenario. Eddie royal is the starting wr oppisite of marshall cuz kolbert, sammie parker, and darrell jackson are just not any good. Cutler threw 4 ints against the raiders because he thinks he can force the ball in to tight spots. Jr already understands it is better to check down than force a pass.
its not that i think you hate the Raiders that i can’t stand some of your posts. its that you have a very low football iq. Many scouts and analysts have pointed out that the broncos drafted poorly through for the past five years: worst in the league leaving them with little talent. 3 picks remain from 27 picks from 03 to 05.
August 27th, 2008 at 6:37 pm
Brien, what up Bro?????
Yea if folks really beleive all the BS they type they should put the money up. I love this blog coz I won an Authentic #20 D Fkcing MAC…….

The over/under for total wins for the Raiders at the sports book here in vegas is 5.5. I think that over is a good play. Niners are 5. Chargers 10.5
August 27th, 2008 at 6:41 pm
If anybody goes by that vanilla ish kiffin was putting down in the pre-season as are O is on the glass pipe…

August 27th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
5 you lose 6 you win. Lots of half pointers out there, that’s how they get you
August 27th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
everybody, calm down… just a little…
we’re gonna run the thing about 45 times a game…
we’re gonna throw about 15 times a game…
a third of those are going to Miller…
another third to a back…
and the last third to whoever JR notices down field… oh, and that’s about 5 passes a game…
JR’s completion percentage will be about 55 to 65 percent…
we will score…
it all depends on whether Kiffie can trust this poor, untalented, not-worthy-of-kiffie offense to be able to handle the highly scientific task of running the football…
i think we have a problem at middle linebacker… i don’t know who decided that Morrison was the only one qualified to play the position…
and i know we had absolutely no-one else in camp to provide competition for that spot… but Morrison belongs on the outside… speed on the inside is only meaningful if it is combined with power…
but you know …
you go to war with the army you have… not the army you might of wished you had… (or some kind of stupid crap like that)…
oh… Brien…
yeah… i do think Grove is done… i just thankful Wade hasn’t been cut…
August 27th, 2008 at 6:47 pm
Vegas i hate the half pointers but thats the system.

Mr nobody respects you. When you rip the raiders or offer your opinion most if not all know you are just trying to geta rise out of people. You use to post under a lot of other peoples names because you were so upset abouit the lack of respect you get. now you try to give some talking points, but you never illustrate you know what you are talking about.
we are all used to hearing the raiders suck that is why people could care less what some blogger says it. there are some regulars here that can riop the raiders with the best of them by pointing out defficiencies: cow and kk come to mind. I respect the people cuz they can back up their points with good aurguments. You just want to run your mouth. go ahead just keep in mind nobody you are talking even cares about your opinion.

Thec: Raiders are also 1.5 point underdogs Monday Night. Home underdogs are always a good bet. I have confidence in Jamarcus

For those of you that missed it we caught it on film in 2 games, the titans game, and the red birds game.
JRUSS got to see it and will be looking for it. Walker knew it and will be looking to do it. The D from the donkeys are expecting it but cant stop it…….
WALKER getting behind the DB’s and JRUSS hitting him. WALKER to JRUSS connect all day long.
