How much Later Jerry? Give me my damn fix now!
September 6th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
well it at least with Edwards playing we will have a pretty good pass rush going.
September 6th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
Jerry thank you…
Now make with the fix!
Ur breaking my balls again dude!
September 6th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
If we can stop the run we will win this no problem.
September 6th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Just got to keep Javon under lock and key til Monday. Man all airport entrances and put a lockdown on Crystal sales until Tues. lol
September 6th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Anybody wanna take a guess at the score?
September 6th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
Sports Network Predicted Outcome: Broncos 26, Raiders 14
Can anybody believe this SH!T? Where do they come up with a score like that? No respect, that’s what it is. None whatsoever.
September 6th, 2008 at 12:59 pm
I hope we see alot of 3 and 4 WR sets with McFadden in the slot, single back set forcing the Broncos to use nickle all night and gashing them with Fargas and Bush. Jamarcus is going to dink and dunk the hell out of them all night. Miller, McFadden, Curry, Lelie and Higgins will play under until, POW, play action with Walker deep, Miller and Curry 20+ yards down the seams.
Spread them out early and run the ball, allow Jamarcus time in the pocket to pick these fools apart. It will happen, we will win!
September 6th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
31-27 Raiders.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
Raider 35, Donkey 17
September 6th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
Our D will hold them under 20 points.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:02 pm
I think I like RaiderKens score better. I really see us running the ball all over these guys. I just hope we can keep Elvis off JR.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:03 pm
Anybody besides me worried about that three men rotation at defensive tackle.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Scares the hell outa me Darkness. One little injury and well hope some offensive lineman have experience playing D line.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:05 pm
Then again does this smell like a 3-4 to you Darkness?
September 6th, 2008 at 1:06 pm
Donks will put eight in the box to stop the run early. Then, Knapp will hit em with counters and play-action. That will cool their azzes off real quick!
September 6th, 2008 at 1:07 pm
Yeah I know what you mean Ken. Especially with Sands and Kelly conditioning issue and Kelly coming off a season ending injury. I think they would probably move Richardson to tackle as a stop gap since he comes in at around 285.

September 6th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
you know Ken I have been curious to see if we would use a 3-4. With our line backers it would be great but I am not sure about the nose tackle.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:08 pm
Isn’t it great how DT was the most glaring need before the draft and we did NOTHING to help it? Don’t give me that subtracting Sapp adds to our run D, that’s BS.
I’m EXPECTING us to give up big yards on the ground, same old, same old! That sucks!!!!
September 6th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
Isn’t that the name of the title? but thanks for the info.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:11 pm
lol. yeah. no sh!t Ken. but like you said, who ever posted it, thanks for telling us again.

Raiders 24 donkeys 10
The DT rotation worries me too. I could see Richardson and Wakefield spending time at DT. I remember Richardson playing there a little last year.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:13 pm
Raiders 24 Broncos 9. Without any deep threat, and Selvin Young running the ball, I don’t see them getting in the end zone. It’s field goal city for them. And without Elam, they miss some of those. They can’t stop our running game.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
I agree with you SK, but I gotta admit I am glad to have Mcafadden but I do feel like they could have addressed DT depth through free agency at least. Basically we are going with the same exact line just switching one players position.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
If one DT goes down we’re in big trouble. Look for us to swtch to a 3-4 maybe not during the game, but definately by the KC game.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:15 pm
About how much does Wakefield weigh?
September 6th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
PSU 21-0 over OSU Beavers at the end of the first. In Madden gameology, OSU has to go home now.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
Post 32 makes alot of sense Ken but I hope its not necessary. Our depth at linebacker after the three starters is not that great either. Gotta give it to Pittsburgh. They just plug these no name guys in at line backer and they excel.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:17 pm
Wakefield is listed at 295 lbs
September 6th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
Fred Wakefield OL 6-7 295 29 8 Illinois
September 6th, 2008 at 1:18 pm
#36 you beat me.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:19 pm
oh ok. At least he is close to the proper weight range.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Maybe Gallery’s position is really DT LMFAO
September 6th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
I really hope we don’t have to keep Miller in this year to help block cause this guy has the potential to be a truly outstanding tight end.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:21 pm
Post # 32, The last time the Raiders won a Superbowl
(SB XVIII) we played a 3-4. Reggie Kinlaw at NT with Alzado and Long at DE. We had great LBs too, Martin, Nelson, Millen and Hendricks.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:22 pm
Darkness in the 3-4 Burgess would move to rush LB.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:23 pm
Gallery really has became a pretty good guard. His only big problem last year was false starts. It kind of made me wonder if maybe he should get his hearing checked, but I am sure they have thought of that. It wasn’t what they drafted him second overall for, but at least they are getting some value out of him.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
You know what Ken. I forgot all about Mr Burgess. YOu are exactly right. Wow. If sands could hold up at the point of attack that would be a great 3-4. If.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:24 pm
Gallery gets paid too much for a Guard, but he is playing well.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:25 pm
I agree with you KoolAid. He was a terrible tackle butg seems to have found his niche at guard. Now he just needs to minimize the penalties.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
I can see Bush bowling his way through these guys. Their linebackers are suspect.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
I agree he makes too much for a guard, but I would still rather have him as a good guard that a lousy tackle.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Big IF’s: If our run game gets going well and ball possession is dramatically in our favor and we can stop their run, then our 3 DT rotation won’t be overworked. If the RB trio is successful with a 5.5 YPC average, we should do fine. If Bush is a beast on short yardage then we will be victorious. If Tom Cable has done his job well and if out BIG 3 RB’s stay healthy then we should be the #1 or #2 running team of the league. If we accomplish the team running goals and if our OL stays healthy then we will make the playoffs. If this all happens then we can tell the world to ki$$ our a$$ - We’re back….
September 6th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
You forgot if JR plays well.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:31 pm
There is always ifs. If Payton Manning is healthy the Colts should be pretty good. Same for NE and Brady.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:33 pm
That’s a whole lot of “ifs” but individually I think they’re all possible, Run well, stop the run, block well. If those thigs get done, JaMarcus just has to “not screw it up”.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:34 pm
after the way JR looked totally cool and calm in the preseason, I’M more concerned with the OL. They need to keep him upright.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:35 pm
Wow John basic football what a concept!
September 6th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
Darkness look for a lot of play action on first or second down if we can establish the run.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:36 pm
I don’t think the running game is an if, unless there is a real rash of injuries which could happen to any team. Russel’s size and arm strength are not ifs either, nor is the defensive backfield.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
The difference here is that with a punishing running game, JR doesn’t have to play well - just don’t fumble the hand-off. Anything he does is the gravy on top. Unlike our scenario, the Colts are crap without Manning and the same goes for the Patriots. Actually with a running game of this type, most better than average QB’s would/should be successful. That’s why it’s so important to stick with the running game. A successful running game totally demoralizes the opposing defense. By the 4thQ they, the defense, are easily rolled over. McFadden, Bush & Fargas are the trio that can make this happen.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Hey anyone know where Stu and his big fat mouth are?
September 6th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
BurgerKing
September 6th, 2008 at 1:39 pm
JB just like the year Pitt won it all. Run hard and often.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:40 pm
You are probably right Ken. Russell looked great in play action and I think that our receivers will really benefit from it since I really don’t see any burners on the field.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
No surprise…
I’d like to see Javon get at least 4 catches for 60 yards Monday night.
I can’t wait to see DMac in live action. He’s gonna be juiced…so will Bush.
I’d like to see Huff get an INT. Howard, Morrison and Wilson will really step up their run defense to help our front 4.
Raiders 23
Broncos 20
September 6th, 2008 at 1:41 pm
That should be this year’s plan of attack. Don’t need to change it if it’s working. We have the potential now all we need to do is execute the game plan.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Personally, I believe the real surprise this year will be Michael Bush. Dmac will do as expected but out of nowhere, Bush will be the real difference maker. I believe he can take a beating much more so than DMac. By the end of this year, the Bush draft pick will be extolled by all as the steal of the century.
Now the question at hand is was that an AD pick or a Kiffin pick?
September 6th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
Blitizing the LB’s and Wilson on Monday night mark it down. And don’t be fooled by the all run talk purposely holding back Jamarcus in exhibitions, watch them open up the passing game Javon was going to play even on one leg watch him Monday.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:54 pm
i may just be a kid but jamarcus isnt doin bad yet. But we havnt seen anything special from mcfadden. Im hoping to see somthing when the silver and black face the donkeys.
September 6th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
The raiders passing defense is not that bad due to are great CBs
September 6th, 2008 at 1:58 pm
also if we can block the rush we’ll probably win
September 6th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
waitin for a comment…………
September 6th, 2008 at 2:00 pm
I like that you will try and stop the run, Denver changes things up and will start throwing a lot this year and the Broncos will show how overpaid your QB is when you all see a real QB in action.
September 6th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
BS - I for one would love to see the donkeys try and air it out in this game!
September 6th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
#71 -
Yeah, good luck vs the best secondary in the NFL and your #1 and only decent WR out of the game because of a suspension.

A little Jason Jones to tide you over:
ALAMEDA — It looks as if Javon Walker (hamstring) and Kalimba Edwards (groin) will play on Monday night.
“They did everything and both of them ran,” said Raiders coach Lane Kiffin. “We’ll continue to look at tomorrow but both of them seem fine to me.”
Walker said he is ready to go.
“It always feels pretty good when you’re out there running around, when you out there and make plays and doing the things you didn’t do all week,” Walker said. “… I’ve been putting in a lot of hard work obviously in rehabilitating myself to get to back better, come back from surgery. So I’m looking forward to getting the season on a roll.”
*Johnnie Lee Higgins will start off with punt and kickoff return duties. Darren McFadden has practiced returning kickoffs and is still an option to do that on Monday, Kiffin said.
*Higgins is the No. 3 receiver right now, but Kiffin is impressed with how Ashley Lelie has caught on to the offense.
Lelie figures to play a role in the offense on Monday.
“He’s a professional,” Kiffin said. “And you can see by the way he prepares and how fast he’s picked everything up.”
*P Shane Lechler and K Sebastian Janikowski are healthy, Kiffin reports.
*If you want on more how McFadden is feeling about his rookie season, you can read his blog on Yardbarker.
September 6th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Good i want to see lechler and seabass in action!
September 6th, 2008 at 2:29 pm
Lots of run to set up the play action especially down at the goal line. Look for DMac to be in the slot, but coming out of the back field so as to keep Denver in their base defense. Not much happening on the outside for us until we get in the Red zone. Miller will be utilized most of all recievers. But again I can’t stress enough the importance of our running attack and our ability to stick with it.

Oh im not Bronco fan.
Just hate the Faiders is all
September 6th, 2008 at 7:33 pm
I love the fact that you Raiders fans think that the media gives you no respect…you sound like the McCain/Palin whiners…you get no respect because you stink. Your sorry team hasn’t been any good since Al Davis was alive. Put on your costumes and go to your trash heap of a stadium on Monday night…but be ready to watch your team get beat again…and be ready for your mascara to run. By the way…everyone here in Denver is glad that Javona Walker is healthy…or at least as healthy as she ever gets.
September 6th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
What’s up Raiders?
Looking forward to a tough old fashioned slug fest at the Black Hole?
Both teams are going to try to run and stop the run - scoring first will be big. Watch out for the rook - Royal from Cutler he’s good! Cutler is going to shock you how good he is, I am stoked to see your secondary they will be a good test for the passing game.
In the end though you guys get run over by the Broncos running game - and we will stop yours. Don’t let last years d stats fool you - that system was awful. Bates is gone and so is his system back to the way it was before him (check the 06 stats)

Wow Donko Fan,
your insight & opinion don’t mean jack when you post to a dead thread. Come join us on the new thread if you can figure it out.
September 6th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
This is no time to be cocky, Raider fans. Expect a close game. I think Cutler is good, but not as good as Bronco fans think. Denver’s defense is improved, but so is ours, and we have the advantage at running back. We can win this 20-13, as long as Jamarcus has a decent game. DMAC is the difference maker! GO RAIDERS!
September 7th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
We should enjoy these next two games because the teams we are going to play are not that great. After that, we are in big trouble. Still pissed off that we have a horrible D-LINE.(kelly,Sands) They weren’t the answer last yr so why would they be the answer this yr. Ryan sucks and should be fired. Another embarrasing season against the run. O-line is pathetic too. How can u be a one demensional team(running) and expect to win games or Super bowl. There are alot of teams who can stop the run. GET BETTER DT’S & O-LINEMEN. Get rid of higgins and bring in JOE HORN. Our receivers are horrible. Let’s keep our heads up fellow raider fans and wait till next yr and hopefully we’ll get some DT’S and O-lineman.

Raiders 31…Donks 17… Shanahans luck has ran out
