I agree, the election is a joke too…are these two jokers the best we can come up with? A closet liberal and a lawyer that has done nothing?

Wow…LMN, can I move to Denmark?

    He has got it

  5. MR Says:

It’s funny hearing all of these right wing Christians refer to Sarah Palin as a “MILF” . Hmm. What part of the bible is MILF mentioned?

  6. Brien(zzzzzzzzzzz) Says:

Left wing or right wing christians are funny period

  7. MR Says:

    John 4:56

As Jesus said, “Wow, what a MILF”. I’d love to nail her. Hope she wins!”

  8. Brien(zzzzzzzzzzz) Says:

MR……..come on MILF in the bible? All they did was smash em on young 14 year olds back in them days

  9. Brien(zzzzzzzzzzz) Says:

    Maybe even younger

  10. MR Says:

    John 4:56

As Jesus looked at the the photo of Palin on Foxnews.com, he looked to see if God was watching. When he realized he wasn’t, the son of God then unzipped his pants and slowly pleasured himself to the sight of the great MILF from Alaska.

  19. MR Says:

Chaos, anyone out there who had a Palin tape like that is long dead.

  20. Chaos Says:

LOL. I am just sayin MR. Just Sayin!

  21. MR Says:

Palin’s a freak. No doubt she’d gotten down on tape once. But I guarantee you that tape is in good hands, and we’ll never see it.

  22. MR Says:

Palin reminds me of the Catholic girls I grew up with. Biggest freaks. They were the wildest. All talk with the religion.

  23. Chaos Says:

  30. MR Says:

Jerry won’t take my questions. I tried one under the name Oakglenn and one under the name BlackHolePriest. Still, nothing. I’m disappointed.

  31. jerseyraider Says:

we could e used him here and could ve offered more for him

  32. Chaos Says:

Wow. This dude is sending his shyt to the ORG’s Building:

Mr Davis, This letter is to inform you that I am offically resigning as a fan of the Oakland Raiders. After 27 years of watching my beloved Silver and Black I can no longer watch this once proud franchise. I have endured a lot from you over the years. I was in dismay when you traded Gruden. He was the best coach we have had since Madden and Flores. But I stuck with you and the Raiders. Now I am just sick and tired of this. I can’t even wear my Silver and Black out any longer because people tell me how sorry they are for me. I thought you maybe had turned a corner when you brought in Lane Kiffin. He is a young coach and had things moving in the right direction. He took a franchise that was the one of the worst in football since the 2002 Super Bowl and gave us hope. Granted we only have one win right now, but if you had some balls and let him coach this team we would have been playing for AFC West titles next year and the future Super Bowls in many years to come. So with your latest bone head move I am offically resigning from this team. Tonight I will be boxing up all of my Raiders stuff and sending it UPS to you. I will not be attending any more games. I will not watch you on TV unless you happen to be playing my new team. I frankly don’t give a damn what you do with the team now. You will not be getting any more of my money. Why do you try to bring in a few more players that are damaged goods. I bet whatever fans have decided to stick around will love that, and what the hell, if whoever you get to replace Kiffin doesn’t win you can always fire him. The will definetly get this team to the top again. I honestly hope that many many more Raider fans will follow my lead and pick a new team. Last time I checked that team across the Bay is having an good year. Maybe the Seattle Seahawks, that neon green is pretty sweet looking. Regards, BJ

  33. Chaos Says:

LOL, but he chose the Squeahawks!

  34. MR Says:

The chat is f’n boring. Guys asking about passing routes and s’t. Jerry should skip their b.s. and get right to the good ones. It’s all about Al Davis right now. Everything.

  35. TomandJerry Says:

    Dear Chaos,

Smart move and good letter. Check out some Saturday football at Memorial Stadium. The Cal Bears are the best football team in the Bay Area.

  36. Nnamdi21 Says:

    ——————————————————-

Thats because when you chose faith to often, you abandon compassion, reason and logic.

    Sweet Zombie Jesus!

  40. MR Says:

And he’s taking the most boring questions. Al Davis hasn’t been brought up once. Al Davis is THE story in Oakland right now. Period.

  41. MR Says:

There is no press in the bay area. I swear. They’re more concerned with appeasing the readership than reporting on the important stories. They’ve become part of the swamp Al thrives in.

  42. WTF Says:

Our receiving core is the worst unit in the NFL. Full of castoffs and players that wouldn’t make the cut on other teams. And it looks like no trade to try to improve it.

  43. vegas raider Says:

WTF you are right, the WR’s are terrible. Ashley Lelie was a joke before he joined the Raiders, and still continues to be. I think the lack of even an above-average WR (curry is average at best) is stunting Jamarcus’ growth.

  44. El Dirty Says:

This is Jerry’s answer to my question. So now I ask you because I dont feel he answered it.

    [Comment From El Dirty]
Jerry, A lot of people were screaming for James Lofton to be the new HC. He is the posiotn coach for the WR’s as far as I can see he is doing the worst job. Would you agree that bringing in Lofton was a mistake? None of our WR’s seem to know what they are doing.

1:55 Jerry McDonald: El Dirty: I really liked what I saw of what Lofton was teaching and how he taught it during training camp, even though the receivers were struggling. I really think it’s more of a talent issue than a coaching issue at that position. He can’t catch the ball for them, and he can’t be their legs and run faster to get open.

  45. El Dirty Says:

Ok when I said YOU I meant anyone…

  46. bad ben Says:

How come the media didn’t flip out that Cable wore a re tee shirt to his press conference yesterday? If that was Kiffin all hell would have broken loose.

  47. vegas raider Says:

I think the only good thing we can say for Lofton is the young guys seem to be improving. Higgins may be our best receiver, and certainly our only big-play WR, and Schillens seems to be improving as well. Veteran WR’s really shouldn’t rely on a WR coach.

  48. RiaderMight Says:

Boy, those cowboys are screwed. Sure, our Raiders are screwed too, but we weren’t expected to be super bowl champs. :)

  49. El Dirty Says:

Cowboys just signed Roy Williams. They will out score everyone. They just became the best show on turf.

  50. 4evaRaider Says:

maybe AD hasnt tried 2 pick up an exper. WR is cause we’re fukking broke

  51. El Dirty Says:

Look at thier line up as it stands even now.

1 Brad Johnson = Decent for a month

    2 Marion Barber = Monster

    3 T.O. = Bigger Monster

4 Witten = Best TE in football

5 Roy Williams = How bad will he eat up the DB as a #2

    This team makes me vomit

  52. RaiderMight Says:

Sure does. It will be most complicated to stop them in Madden now a days. lol

  53. 4evaRaider Says:

always HATED the boys.ALWAYS wanted 2 beat them in SB,or any time

  54. 4evaRaider Says:

it was tough when boys played steelers

  55. El Dirty Says:

Did Higgens catch a ball againts the Saints?

  56. Dakota Says:

    T.O. is demanding a trade.

  57. DarthPirate Says:

I believe Higgins caught a 35 yard pass.

  58. El Dirty Says:

Oh he did? ok just curious because we were the worst team in the league sunday. Wanted to see if we completely played away from our strengths.

  61. Dakota Says:

Glad to see we didn’t trade Bush. Keep Bush and dump Farglass for a 4th rounder before the draft.

Not that it matters, Al will just draft some track star or tweener in the 4th round like usual.

    DOOOOOOOOMED!

  62. El Dirty Says:

    nice lol

  63. El Dirty Says:

Whats even better is that I clicked on the link. Dumba$$ lol

  64. vegas raider Says:

Unfortunately Dirty known of those guys play Defense. That’s why, IMO, they will miss the playoffs

  65. El Dirty Says:

Very true Vegas… I see them as the Rams 9 yrs ago. All O

  66. El Dirty Says:

wow my bad 12 years ago

  67. RaiderTay Says:

That Roy Williams trade was very expensive

1st, 3rd and 6th and 7th rounder. Wow!! Even Moss didnt cost that much. I would love the Raiders to have Roy, but thats WAY too much.

I have to admit Roy on one side and TO on the other is going to keep some DCs up at night.

  68. vegas raider Says:

Or at least lose in the first round again for the umpteenth year

  70. Dakota Says:

    STR,

We are going to lose on most Sundays…no prediction necessary, just the sad truth of the matter.

We are dooooomed forever. Al sold his soul and the team’s soul for three SBs back in the dark ages and now it is payback time.

    MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHA

  73. Chaos Says:

Maybe with that 1st rounder, they can draft a WR.

  74. SouthTexasRaider Says:

come on dakota brother, we have been 2-6 at mid season before and have turned it around and go 6-2 the rest of the season to end 8-8.
i would hope for that to happen but hey, you never know. every sunday so far is another game of experience for these guys.
i think kiffin shoulda just thrown JR in the las half of the season for learning progress, instead he opted to flip flop mcown and culpepper to try to win. none are here with us now and JR is left to start from new.

i still keep the faith and will see every game until the season ends…

  105. Chaos Says:

    LOL WTF MR……LOL

  106. Chaos Says:

That sucks. Thats all that is going to be on fukin NFL Network all god dam.n night! Roy Williams just went from being nonexistant, to a big somebody. Shyt, I need to go pick him up in fantasy.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  107. Cable In Deep Says:

Okay fellas! Your attitude is getting worse. Until you can treat this orginization with respect I’ll make sure you won’t see any more wins till you finiky fans start showing some respect.

  108. Albert Bigelow Paine Says:

A Raiders’ first rounder would have been too high a price to give up for Williams. The pick will likely be in the top five, and if Davis can’t afford another hight priced rookie, he could trade it away for a number of picks. I am glad we didn’t get Williams.

  109. Los Malisimos Says:

    Stu vs. Huff… a tossup?

  110. 4evaRaider Says:

detriot was smart build thru the draft and never never trade your draft 4 some fuk

  111. 4evaRaider Says:

    draft pick that is

  112. No More Infield! Says:

Huff should be tried at corner. Bust at saftey

  113. Raider hater hater Says:

The cowboys made a trade for R. Williams.
boy did Al screw that up. he shoulda went after him or boldin before giving Walker 17 mil for 1 catch and 1 drop a game. Hell, i could drop a ball for free. Really woulda liked to see the raiders trade Rob Ryan tho’..Maybe we coulda got NE qb coach and a bag of chips for ryan.

  114. Raider hater hater Says:

Williams is worth a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder. the 6th and 7th pick probably wouldnt make the team anyways as they are USUALLY the bottom feeders.

  115. Raider hater hater Says:

One jaw breaker and 5 pennies

  124. S&B Says:

Just like in real life, the receivers are garbage, Russell has no accuracy and the o-line gives scant pass protection. I am going to have use a new team now. Their latest roster update must have screwed them up!

LMN: maybe you’re right, but i see the possibility of greatness in a few years in j.r. and fear that we are using his confidence up in a system we do not have the players to effectively play. hence, i fear that rather than his gaining experience, he will end up hurt and gun-shy like plunkett in the ’70s before he has a chance to develop.

  136. MR Says:

I cut Fargas from my franchise. Got some cap penalty or whatever for it but I don’t care. I’m willing to spend money to get rid of him. He sucks that bad.

  149. Chris in NY Says:

I feel sorry for any Raiders fans who think the Steve Youngs and Peter Kings of the world actually know what they’re talking about. As for those of you actually suggesting the Raiders bench Russell and play Walter, you’re obviously beyond help.

You can’t judge a QB on his first half-dozen starts. It’s ridiculous. Yes, Russell has work to do but he’s had a better start than many Hall of Famers and is nowhere near the ineptitude of guys like Alex Smith and Jim Druckenmiller to whom he is being compared. Give me a break.

    FIRST-YEAR PASSER RATINGS
    Drew Brees*: 76.9
    JAMARCUS RUSSELL**: 73.2
    Peyton Manning: 71.2
    Rich Gannon***: 68.9
    Phil Simms: 66.0
    Donovan McNabb: 60.1
    Steve Young: 56.9
    Troy Aikman: 55.7
    Eli Manning: 55.4
    John Elway: 54.9
    —————
    Heath Shuler: 59.6
    Alex Smith: 40.8
    Ryan Leaf: 39.0

    * Brees’ 2nd NFL season, first as starter (had 67.5 rating in 3rd season)
    ** Russell’s 2nd season, first as starter
    *** Gannon’s 4th season, first as starter

P.S. — Jim Druckenmiller only started one game in his career and had a lifetime rating of 29.2.

    THINGS I THINK I THINK …
    – Peter King should quit one of his 12 jobs so he actually has time to learn what he’s talking about, rather than just throwing stuff out there on every Web site and NFL-related TV show. In his Monday Morning QB column for SI this week (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writers/peter_king/10/12/week6/4.html), King says of Russell: “At some point, JaMarcus Russell has to go from young quarterback making his way in this league to an efficient NFL quarterback,” and then proceeds to rip Russell for his play this year, as if it’s his 3rd or 4th year as a starter. Get a clue. The kid’s started 6 games, Peter King.
In the same column, King says if the Raiders were smart they would trade Nnamdi Asomugha. Inexplicable.

    – Coffeenerdness: Is it wrong to want to pour a boiling hot pot of coffee over Peter King’s head? How about two pots over Steve Young’s bruised dome?

Any chance Al Davis goes after Napoleon Harris?

PFT is reporting that the Vikings wanted to talk, but Harris said he was going to visit another team first.

  151. Dakota Says:

NAP HARRIS! THE SEASON WOULD BE SAVED!

    not

  152. Einstein Says:

    JOB boy!

  153. K-Rock Says:

Unless Nap Harris is a Pro-Bowl WR/DT/OT/CB/SS all at the same time, I don’t think he could save the season.

Might help the LBs against the run though.

  154. K-Rock Says:

Oh yeah, he would have to play DE as well.

  155. Cable in Deep Says:

You fellas aren’t worthy of having a winning team. The way you whine and back stab each other is not worthy of the Raider Nation. I’ve got strict orders from Mr. Davis not to win a single game until you fellas start showing respect for the Raider Nation, each other and especially the front office. We can hold out longer than you fellas and I swear we will continue to lose until you fellas change your tune.

Trade for Raiders RB falls through for Bolts

Chargers GM A.J. Smith almost pulled off a trade for Raiders running back Michael Bush, shown here against San Diego earlier this year.
    John R. McCutchen/Union-Tribune

The Chargers almost pulled off another significant trading deadline deal Tuesday, league sources said.

They were in talks with the Raiders about acquiring running back Michael Bush until right up to the 1 p.m. deadline.

According to a Bay Area source, the sides were close on terms, believed to be a second-day pick, before the Raiders pulled the deal at the last minute.

Asked about the negotiations, Chargers General Manager A.J. Smith neither confirmed nor denied the talks.

“We don’t discuss our football business,” he said. “No trades made by the Chargers this year.”

Smith has worked a deal each of the past four trading deadlines, including down-to-the-wire, high-profile swaps for Keenan McCardell in 2004 and Chris Chambers in 2007.

The Chargers were likely interested in Bush for depth behind LaDainian Tomlinson. Current backup Darren Sproles becomes an unrestricted free agent after this season. The Chargers would like to keep Sproles, but he will likely test the market before deciding whether to stay.

Bush (6-foot-1, 245) was a fourth-round pick in 2007, but he he did not play last year while recovering from a broken leg suffered in his final season at Louisville.

This season he has 202 yards on 47 carries. He also has nine receptions for 89 yards, including seven for 80 yards against the Chargers last month.

Had it happened, the trade would have been remarkable not only for the quality player the Chargers would have added but because it would have been consummated between division rivals.

Asked if he worked on any trades this year, Smith said, “We are always exploring possibilities to get better.”

  157. Chris in NY Says:

Why would the Raiders trade Bush, a 4th-round steal, for a pick in that same area of the draft? So we can go get the next John Bowie? Makes no sense.
Good thing they didn’t make this trade, if it was ever being considered anyway.

  158. 808raidah Says:

If Bush plays hard and keeps producing, he’ll still have value at the end of the season. Then maybe the Raiders can get a first day pick instead of a second day selection.

  159. 808raidah Says:

    Chris:

Sooner or later Mcfadden will own the Raiders backfield. His salary and draft position will dictate that he become the starter. Fargas will become the backup. He has proven that he will do anything for the team including playing special teams. That leaves Bush as the odd man out. He is talented and could eventually start in someones backfield. So if you can get a first day pick then it would be worth it.

  160. Bench JR Says:

King says of Russell: “At some point, JaMarcus Russell has to go from young quarterback making his way in this league to an efficient NFL quarterback,” and then proceeds to rip Russell for his play this year, as if it’s his 3rd or 4th year as a starter. Get a clue. The kid’s started 6 games, Peter King.

Matt Ryan has started 6 games and has a crappy Falcon team 4-2 in first place … he also showed up at camp on time.

Start Andrew Walter … he will develope into a better QB than JR and alot quicker … it’s too bad it will be with another team then I can tell you … “I told you so.”

People that are hating on JR after 6 games need to be sterilized so they can’t spread their ignorant genes.

  167. Brien(Goes to home games) Says:

Russell not looking good. Big Al is not looking quite smart for overlooking Brady Quinn. Cerebal QB with a good enough arm would have done wonders I believe for this team

  168. Brien(Goes to home games) Says:

Russell is playing terrible right now. Maybe he turns it around but it seems the speed of the game is really confusing him right now

Whatever those people in Boston not even tripping about losing. They won so many damn titles this decade they can afford a loss or two

Just the reverse of Raider Nation. Lucky I have connections.

  178. Johnnie B. Goode Says:

Once Jamarcus Russell learns to play the game faster he’ll be fine. He is playing much to slowly right now, but most lst year QB’s do that. That is not unusual.

  179. Brien(Goes to home games) Says:

Johnnie……..we sure stunk up the joint sunday but expect a better efffort vs the Jets. Now whether that translates to a win is the million dollar question

  180. Brien(Goes to home games) Says:

Russell has not caught up to the speed ofthe NFL IMO. You can see it

  183. Johnnie B. Goode Says:

Jamarcus is having his problems with the speed of the game. The ball should be out of his hands very quickly, and you can see him hold it, hold it, waiting for a reciever to uncover. If a guy is not open, take off, you big lug.
