The AC Transit Board tonight will consider adopting procurement criteria for 143 new buses it plans to buy, beginning the process to  recruit general manager candidates, and taking measures to improve on-time performance of buses on the busy 1R route. Donald Doyle, the former state assemblyman whom Interstate 680 between Walnut Creek  and Dublin is named after, died Jan 31. If you look closely as you drive along I-680, you can see signs along the freeway marked, “The Donald D. Doyle Highway.” Read the rest of this entry »
