S.F. recommended to get regional government headquarters

A key vote is set for Wednesday on choosing between Oakland or San Francisco as the site of a Bay Area regional government headquarters for transportation, air pollution and planning agencies. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission will consider a staff recommendation to pick a building at 390 Main Street in the south of Market district in San Francisco.

Oakland is fighting to get the project. Read a story on it here.Oakland currently has the headquarters for the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and the Association of Bay Area Governments.  San Francisco has the headquarters for the Bay Area Air Quality Management District.
