AC Transit will extend its Oakland headquarters operating hours from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday to make it easier for youth to sign up for Clipper universal fare payment cards.

The transit building is located at 1600 Franklin St. in downtown Oakland.

People up to 18 years old can use the youth Clipper card to get an unlimited number of bus rides on AC Transit for $20 a month. Without the youth pass rates, young riders must pay $1.05 per bus ride.
