Hotel tax hike proposal to come to Fremont council

Councilman Bob Wieckowski, true to his word, has proposed increasing the city’s hotel tax from 8 percent to 13 percent. If the council agrees, the proposal would have to go before voters in November. Most of Fremont’s neighbors have hotel taxes – paid by people staying at the hotels – of about 10 percent.

More on this in a  post I have planned for Saturday.
