Minutemen welcome to march in Fremont parade

I just found out that the Golden Gate Minutemen will be invited after all to march in Fremont’s Fourth of July Parade. Parade Chairwoman Patty Hitchcock told me that she and other organizers decided it was better to just let the minutemen march even though they have concerns that groups opposed to the minutemen could start trouble.
“They’re in the parade,” Hitchcock said. “It’s not worth the fighting.”
As a goodwill gesture, she said, the Minutemen will be offered the opportunity to carry three large red, white and blue balloons.

Way to go! Looks like a victory has been won for the people of Fremont, the Minutemen and the Constitution! Lets celebrate Freedom! HAPPY 4TH OF JULY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!

I’d ask the city of Fremont what the 4th of July means to them?
Is it all about business interests & fun & games? Or is it about our country, our sovereignty & our American culture?
I checked their website & Sponsor levels with names like:
Star Spangled Banner
My Country ‘Tis of Thee
You’re a Grand Old Flag
Proud to be an American
Stars and Stripes Forever
This Land is Your Land
Yankee Doodle Dandy
Are those just words to the officials in Fremont? Do those words mean anything to them?
Look at the sponsor titles above & then realize they’re forbidding patriot groups to march in the parade
The “leaders” in Fremont are not leaders at all. They’re a bunch of spineless, politically correct weasels who bow down to anti-American reconquista & business interests

Dear Rachel,
Our “fore-fathers” were the same men who passed America’s first naturalization act in 1798 which did not give citizenship based on mere bodily presence within the USA. They believed in a citizenship process, and in 1801 extended it to 18 years of legal residency. Their immigration laws were much more restrictive than our today, and they surely would have not tolerated a 1 million man illegal alien invasion/yr into their country.
Moreover, the condition for returning to the parade is that the Minutemen DO NOT CARRY THEIR OWN SIGNS but CARRY BALLONS THE PARADE COMMITTEE ASSIGNS US. So we are not sure if this is what we want to do. We are still trying to figure out if we are being allowed back in the parade as regular participants or not.

Good thing the Parade Chairperson ‘consulted her husband’ before making such a big decision. I’m sure chairing a parade as a volunteer isn’t an easy job, but come on now. Why just ‘let’ them because they are making a big stink? Charles - you and your OWN signs can stay home.
BOO to the minute”men” and the negativity they will bring to our happy family day. Take your cause somewhere else besides our parade.

ONE thing is FOR SURE…
Maybe somebody, including the Fremont Tax Payers and FEDS need to look into the budget, cost, details and specifics of the Parade from THIS year AND LAST year

Mrs. Hitchcock lied in print regarding what she called charges for extra police for last year and this year when in fact the Chief of Fremont Police verified that NO fees were applied last year and would not be this year. The Chief of Fremont Police went on to say that Mrs. Hichcock was paid $15,ooo last year and only after that did she allow these documented American citizens to march. She probably backed down due to some sound legal advice from her husband. The fact that you chose the term “why just let them” exposes your methods. …and by the way “OUR” parade turns out to be everyones parade weather you agree with it or not. Thanks go to the Fremont Police Department for putting a stop to this completely obvious agenda.

Leslee and Rachel both need to take a second and realize what the 4th of July is all about! Those are some harsh words from some very uninformed people! Sad cases I’ll say! Maybe this 4th of July, you both should take some time to read the U.S Constitution. Start on Amendment #1, that should get you folks on the right track!

Pleas Checkout NumbersUSA.com to educate yourself. Their video “Immigration by the Numbers” explains the reality so well, only closed biased minds can deny the facts, or Numbers, as it were.

It would be a more perfect world if people such as Rachel realized the irony in her “white trash” comment. Since she referred to our constitution’s framers as “four fathers”, I sadly doubt the brain power is there.

Yes, I saw your ”immigration by the numbers”. Very interesting. What year was that made in? Maybe 1990’s, if that. I’d love to see more up to date information. I’d also like to see reports on the economical effects immigration has brought to our country. And in case you guys didn’t know, the United States is actively bringing in immigrants to fill in for the nurses that our leaving the work force.
All that video seemed to me was a scare tactic, only giving you the information they wanted you to have. In case you didn’t get it from the video the, the world’s population is growing exponentially all over the world (& not just in the poor countries). This country will be needing its immigrants, that come in from all over the world, to fight its battles. Especially when we have hick cowboy presidents that says that we’ll fight the war alone if we have to.
Im sorry you are so angry that your precious anglo nation is being diluted by people of other nations (But really I’m not). But our country has become the superpower it is using the immigrants, that come to us, in every workforce in america. Including the illegal immigrants that work for a miniscule wage with no job security and dangerous conditions.
Freedom of speech is great. But I don’t believe the City of Fremont should be allowing the minute men into its parade. Knowing that any idiot can go to our border with a gun and proclaim themselves patriots is deeply disturbing. If you “men” want to watch the border then join the border patrol. Don’t go renegade and then expect a parade for yourselves. At least then the state can screen you and get those who aren’t mentally fit to have that power, off our borders.

Not a very intelligent or legitimate response to my posting. But thank you for thinking I would be rescuing an animal in need. I believe Americans should be defending those that need our help. America is the shining light of independence, power, and salvation. And instead of welcoming those that risk their lives and leave everything they know for hopes of becoming part of our nation, you would choose to push your foot down on their face and brag how much better our nation is. I know you’re capable of making a point without calling someone all of those names that you put in capital letters.I don’t have time to monitor all these comments, so I’m counting on folks to show some of the manners we all learned as kids. It would be nice if everyone wrote comments as if their real name appeared next to them.

Well, well folks…. It doesn’t matter which side you are standing on you are demostrating exactly what I believe the “M” Men are trying to get you to realize. That is that “Tax Paying ” Americans have the freedom to disagree and boo anyone they choose.
On the immigration issure, I live in a very heavy “Hispanic” area. That would be legal and illegal status. One of my dearest friends is of mexician heaitage (which mexician is something she takes pride in). One of the best, hardest working men I know is Mexician and very proud. Both of these friends did things the legal way and they resent our “Open Door, Close Eyes” policy that does and has existed. This cheapens what they and their families when though. If you ask them they are now AMERICIAN, not Mexician-Americans. I appreciate that and am very proud as their fellow American. I am tried of men/women running for office using this issue and us (the paying and voting public) not using our heads. The public leaders have been getting away with using and abusing your rights, your money, some of our brains. They have robbed this country of jobs and many rights by making unnecessay statues but believe me “Legal Immigration” is not one. Just check it out, think about, visit with all types of people before getting so closed minded. By the way if you don’t vote, SHUT UP. You forfet you voice when you give up your vote.
On the pradae issue, what right does andy man have in restriciting any organaztion as long as they clearly understanding the restricitions and have a comment to the oommunity.
Keep, keeping on “David” maybe one day they will quite being so defensive and study the issue bett.

I took down Lois’s most recent comment. For those of you who didn’t see it, she described two very populous coutries as “cesspools,” and said that men of a certain hue would be nowhere without the creativity of men of a lighter hue.
I was tempted to let the comment stay because Lois is a Minuteman, who ran for the Republican Central Committee in June and actually took out papers to run for Fremont City Council. It seemed like people who are wondering what to think about the Minutemen should see how one of them sees the world.
But the consensus here was that it was just too over-the-top and offensive, so I took it down.
BTW, I still don’t think that Bartlett and Reeder are racists, and I have taken down posts that have accused individuals of being racist.
