That means Union City won’t be able to collect the $2.7 million this year from the 911fee (now deemed an illegal tax) they had been tacking on to people’s phone bills. According to the city, it means they will also have to refund the $2.7 they collected from residents last year.
If you put it all together, it means the city budget forecast is getting a whole lot gloomier.
We’ll have more on this next week.

Well then…JUST LIKE Lame Torrico & the State, they can cut ALL funding for ALL services for Illegal Aliens that DO NOT belong here to begin with.
A REAL Solution, so SIMPLE that everyone but a socialist Liberal OR Neo-CON can see it apparently!

This is a good day for citizens of Union City, when the unfair, unjust, and illegal taxation of phones is stopped by the state courts. A bright and shining forecast for working people and families who live in Union City, that’s what this ruling means. I would hope that The Argus realizes that the city government is not the city; the city is a collection of working people whose prosperity and happiness is undermined by the increased size and scope of city government.
