Fremont Republican no longer being sued by fellow GOP’er

Got word that three people who ran for Republican Party Central Committee in June but didn’t win have been dropped from a lawsuit filed by the committee’s chairman.
Chairman Paul Cummings is seeking to overturn the election of seven people — all minutemen or Ron Paul supporters — who won committee seats in June, but may not have been eligible to run.
In Fremont, Lois Davis - a frequent commenter on this blog - is among those who are no longer facing litigation, according Walter Stanley, who is still a defendant in the lawsuit.
Fremont’s John Bartlett, the brother City Council candidate Charles Bartlett, is also still named in the lawsuit, Stanley said.

This is just Paul Cummings trying to cover his you know what. Contesting the “election” of three candidates that didn’t even win makes no sense unless it was to intimidate and harass. By dropping them from the lawsuit, he hopes to prevent possible negative repercussions for filing the frivolous lawsuit.

The Paul Cummings lawsuit is nothing more than a big scare-tactic that he’s using to try and frighten community volunteers away from participating in the local political process!
For Chairman Cummings to try and play “Mr. Accountability” now, when he doesn’t even follow his own Committee Bylaws… Come on now ChairMAN Cummings… it’s a bit late for any attempt to salvage, what’s left, of your ineffectual, do-nothing chairmanship.
The only accomplishment of a Paul Cummings’ Chairmanship, has been this frivolous lawsuit. And just so all you Tri-City-Beat readers out there know, if you read the statute of limitations… He couldn’t even get that right!

Something tells me that Paul Cummings isn’t the most liked Chairman in the G.O.P.
Maybe it is in the party’s best interest to remove him from his position?

What is sooooo amazing is the state GOP feels it can’t loose control of ONE county out of 83 in California it owns lock, stock, and barrel!
They aren’t even doing this for McCain’s sake since no one will even assume office until AFTER Nov. 4rth!
Cummings wants us to ‘join’ in a way he considers more acceptable– by volunteering through him and then wait to be appointed. Evidently, running as candidates by election is not ‘legit’ in the eyes of the state GOP.
Appointment will ensure the liberals in the GOP keep a majority in Alameda. This will keep us out from controlling 3/5 Assembly districts. Then Cummings and buddies can appoint the remainder.
It’s all about control and keeping power and agendas intact.
those cc members who got elected are in. The ROV and County Board of Sups already certified it. Cummings missed the due date to challenge it by nearly a month. Therefore did this lawsuit for nothing. Just ensured that we’ll be going in fighting in Jan.
Did Cummings think last month’s meeting was crazy? Wait until we pull our MM chapters from every darn county in the Bay Area! Cummings made a mistake to try to con and backstab the conservative activist movement in the Bay Area.
Oh well. Until Jan, we have bigger fish to fry.
Late September Minutemen will be challenging Galvin Newsome in San Francisco. Communist-Left (Cumming’s best friends) will be out there in full force. Probably be 100:1 ratio… typical…Doubt we’ll have a single liberal Republican on our side. Oh well…. Friends like that who needs enemies?!? At least we know where the SF marxist’s stand…no phonies there.
sincerely,
charles

Paul Cummings is the type of guy that can’t even look you in the eyes when he’s talking to you. He’ll smile and talk, and talk and smile, in an effort to make everything seem warm and fuzzy and as soon as you turn-around he’ll try and stab you in the back!
When you ask, “Mr. Chairman, why would you try and do something like that?” The Chairman would reply, “Oh, I’m sorry… that really wasn’t my true intention… my mistake… No hard feelings, right?”
All that we can say is, “Sure, Mr. Chairman, we all understand.”
At the same time, we patiently wait to politely “burry the hatchet” somewhere between Paul’s upper thigh area and lower back region. Some of us would even like to toss his butt (hatchet and all) right into a fast-flowing, boulder-lined, icy river… That way it will truly be… water under the bridge.
Know what I mean?
