Starting base salary for a Fremont firefighter: $76,386.
Starting base salary for a New York City firefighter: $36,400.

AND; City Manager Fred Diaz’s salary is in the neighborhood of $250, 000 thousand dollar’s while the Federal Reserve Chairman makes $191,300. Go figure?

Matt, remember the Bay Area is special. We have unlimited revenue streams and 30% year over year appreciation in home values. Unemployment is will never be an issue because of Google…and Green Tech.
