I lived in Niles for many years, I loved the old Niles where it was vibrant, full of life, and a bit rowdy, around 1960 to the 70′s.
Some people are trying to sanitize Niles and I guess I resent it a bit. It is now a boring place with lots of junk shops owned by wealthy people who do not live in Niles.
One of the redeeeming thing about Niles is the Historic Train rides every Sunday.
I am sure it will change again, the only constant is change
